Your favourite boxing documentaries

I roll my eyes at Ken Burns. Everything with him, EVERYTHING, has a racial justice warrior bent. If he did a documentary about the canned vegetable industry he would still find racial injustice inherent there. Sometimes I just want to focus on a Jack Johnson type as a fighter from a boxing perspective. In this documentary, his boxing career was almost beside the point.

honorable mention for the hbo "30 for 30" documentaries, i enjoyed the insight of "muhammad and larry".

 

"42 to 1" was pretty good, but for me nothing eclipses the Legendary Nights series.

The one on the Holmes Ali fight,,, this highlighted what I think was a criminal offense , putting a man with brain damage in with the Easton assassin .

 

The Good Son documentary on Ray Mancini was very good (as was the book).
