His fights were not really great fights to be fair, the first Benn fight was good, watson 1 was ok, stretch sherry storey were ok, close beat him imo.

He was hyped to the hilt, to the extent every six or so weeks Saturday night became Eubanks on and people stayed in and watched, it was great for the sport and he gave it great exposure.

I personally liked the wharton fight, as he gave a masterclass in boxing.

John Jarvis was overmatched, the punching postman Thornton was disappointing, Essett too.

Rocchigiani i expected more but it was a let down.

One thing for certain though he could fight, and i don't believe he achieved his full potential with the likes of Nunn Toney etc, i think he knew his level and stayed there.

Good entertainment at the time though, and looking back at his two fights with The Cat, just showed how brave a fighter he was, and almost pulled it off.

So whether you are a hater or not, he did give us some good fights, and Roy Francis was even quoted when asked who was the bravest fighter he had refd and he said Eubank.

I still can't believe how the cnut used to dress and was voted britains best dressed man, he turned up at a presser on a harley looking like MC Fcuking Hammer..

Will we see the likes again, fcuking hope not!!!!

I certainly am mate. February, 1979...the year of Abba’s ‘Waterloo’ hit, Thatcher getting into power, and it apparently snowed in the Sahara desert for 30 minutes...I don’t think the last 2 are linked in anyway though.

Watson rematch was in a league of its own.

Eubank changed the game. We are in debt to the man.
