I think Robinson would beat Billy Graham fairly easily on points, but each round will be competitive and Graham will get his fair share of shots in. It's just that he will be a little outdone in every department (bar defense) and every round will look the same, Robinson flurrying and landing the flashier and harder punches, whilst Graham retaliates with shots that don't have the same effect.

Graham will be there to the end though. He had good defence and a good set of whiskers as well.

This would have been an interesting fight SS...Have you heard anything as to why it never happened? Ray would have gotten past Graham, but Billy's style would have been very troublesome with that educated left.

I agree, would have been interesting, the jab was something to use against SRR, as Turpin did, but i dont think Graham would apply enough pressure behind it in this one, and Robinson would use his own to effect aswell. And the combos would get him the win.

    I agree with SS!

Not really sure to tell you the truth mate.

But Graham did suffer some setbacks around the time that Ray was welter champ which probably stopped him from being Ray's mandatory. E.g. losing to the likes of Pellone, Larkin and later DeMarco. I don't think that THAT Graham would have had much of a chance anyway against Robinson, for he was little more than a junior welter. Had he been fighting today he probably would have spent a good portion of his career at lightweight.

By the time he filled out to a fully fledged welter and was capable of giving the likes of Kid Gavilan hell, Robinson was well and away at middleweight.

Thank you for the vote of confidence; although not even my demonic jab would be quite enough to cope with Robinson.

    Do you box?

Hearns may have chance to decision Robinson if he fought like he did against Wilfred Benitez. Tommy Bell, a tall rangy guy like Hearns, gave Sugar Ray a tough fight and knocked him down. Possible for Hearns to win but more likely he would lose by kayo.

Barbados Joe Walcott would give him the hardest fight of his career one way or another.
