I don't see Joyce not getting clipped at some point. Joyce is just too slow IMO.

 

The big test is to see how Dubois responds when he gets hit, since Joyce will connect on him eventually and if Dubois doesn't respond well I see him getting stopped.

Lol, Dubois' jab is one dimensional, Joyce's jab has far more variety and can be thrown to different angles and we saw that tonight, Joyce's jab was the big difference tonight.

I had never seen it before I still rate dubios jab I just don’t know why he lost the faith in it, Joyce has impressed me for the first time tonight can’t believe dubios quit there like he wasn’t getting hurt badly, I don’t understand quitting there that’s going to be a massive mental obstacle for a young fighter to get over imo getting knocked out would be easier to get over

It's not that he lost faith in it, his jab is one dimensional, it's a ramrod jab to set up a right hand but he doesn't use it in any other way and it's useless against a mobile opponent who moves off the line when the jab will just miss.

I think he quit due to one being too green and two not being given the experiences in the previous fights to know how to react. Dubois hasn't had to face any adversity up to this point in his career and the first time he did he didn't know what to do because he hadn't had the type of learning fights that would prepare him for such a moment.

Dubois is young enough to come again, he actually did better than I thought he would, if he has the right mentality he can come back and be a more dangerous fighter because of this loss but he needs the right people making the right career choices for him, he can't just be fed a load of easy fights again only to be thrown in the deep end again.
