Can't remember much to be honest. Years back. I do remember seeing someone in the gym who looked liked Herbie Hide and thinking ''****! He looks just like Hide!''. Apart from that not much else outside of walking to the bus stop to get home and being very light headded and uneasy on my feet due to being very dehydrated.

Had a gumshield from playing Rugby, went into the gym and explained I wanted to Box. The trainer asked if I had Boxed I said no,great He said and turned to this Fighter and said youve got a Sparring partner . Tommy Gibbons was his name, I found out later, who for 3 rds knocked the **** out of me, broke my nose. Danny the trainer asked me if I had enjoyed it, My reply Loved it,1 week later I was living at the Thomas A Beckett, happy Days .

My first day was yesterday, and it was great when I finally found the place. Apparently it was the first week they were open on the weekend so it was just me and one other guy working with the trainer. I got alot of one on one padwork, help with technique and footwork. We did some light sparring and then some good conditioning at the end. I can only imagine how sore i'd be if I hadnt been doing a boxing circuit at home regularly because my shoulders and back are sore as hell right now.

I also just went through my first day last Friday! It was kind of scary at first (maybe because I'm just a scared teenage girl) but once we started (after doing shadowboxing, which I must admit felt awkward at first) everything got easier in a sense. The workout is unlike any I've done before but my trainer was really nice and helped and explained everything I needed to have explained so I would do the punches right. :)

Now if I can just convince my dad to continue the lessons...
