Duran´s win over Barkley and his effort against Hagler. Sam Soliman´s effort against Winky. Schmeling´s against Louis of course. Braddock´s against Baer.
Toney is one for me too, but against Nunn is one of my best underdog memories. The shamefully biased commentating in Nunn's favor, the fact that I loved Toney's style and was not a fan of Nunn's. Toney overcoming a style disadvantage over an undefeated fighter and he's still the only man to knock Nunn out.
Duran killing Davey Moore at MSG in 1983 while being a 4 to 1 underdog...... :deal 'Tis my favorite fight of all-times.......:good:bbb MR.BILL:hat
Young Rocky Graziano an 8-1 underdog to Billy Arnold, deemed the new Joe Louis..A great punching prospect Arnold was flattened by Graziano the underdog... The upset "made " Rocky as a coming star...
Claude Noel W15 Super Gato Gonzales. Out here on the coast we were big on Gonzales. He was destroying guys and should have won quick over Noel. But he fought timidly in Atlantic City and lost. Big upset and then another when Art Frias one punched Noel after winning every minute of the fight in which he was a substitute for Montallano. I have never seen anyone happier than Art after he won the World Championship. A simple man pulling off the impossible.
