When I first watched this fight I thought Dirrell dominated Froch. I re-watched it this morning and have tried to be as objective as possible. Froch - Dirrell 9 - 10 9 - 10 10 - 9 10 - 10 9 - 10 10 - 9 10 - 10 (very scrappy round - Dirrell landed a clean shot towards the end) 10 - 9 9 - 10 9 - 9 (point deducation for Dirrell, but he hurt and staggered Froch - even) 9 - 10 - again, cleaner work 10 - 10 - even round. Nobody established dominance. Final scorecard. Froch - 114 Dirrell - 116 Couple of things I noticed. - Froch can't deal with speed or movement. He likes to fight close up. - Froch is VERY dirty, I lost count the amount he hit behind the back of the head. - Having the white trash audience didn't help matters. - Dirrell isn't very good at fighting southpaw. His cleaner work came from an orthodox stance. Thoughts?
thoughts...ummmmmmmmmmm let me think:huh the fight was that long ago this belongs in the classic forum..:yep seems every poster on here scores fights different...so i say leave it to the pro judges at ringside... and there answer is froch w12...:hi:
I had it 114-113 Dirrell (115 minus 1 for holding - 113) But I was sooooooooooooo happy they didn't score it for him, because for the first time since I started watching boxing I really didn't think the one I had in front on my card deserved to win this! What a spoilerfest was that...
Yawn................Dirrell lost. All thr respcted ringside journalists thought so ,inclding the prestigous Boxing News and The Ring, as well as the judges. End of story
I had Dirrell by 3 or 4 points. I didn't think it was a particularly close fight. I like Froch, but he achieved absolutely nothing throughout that fight. Don't have my card here, but will post it in full later when I go home.
Argument from Authority. A timeless and august fallacy. watch the fight, examine the punches, watch the head-snaps. Examine whose head is snapping. Then return and say something more interesting.
