Holmes 115-113 Holmes I thought it was a competitive but clear win for Holmes he won most of the early rounds just like vs Norton. Then Witherspoon got back into the fight and had the big 9th round but after Holmes clocked him with a big right hand at the end of the 9th. Witherspoon didn't press enough and started doing a bad Ali impression in the championship rounds and gave the fight away.
The commentary had some of the worst bias I have ever witnessed. Despite two judge's scorecards, I see no conceivable way Witherspoon won that fight. Holmes largely outboxed Timmy. Really, in all honestly, I couldn't see anything closer than 9 rounds to 3 in favor of Holmes. One judge had it 118-111 Holmes. That seemed about right.
Agreed the commentary was ridiculous they were hyping up Witherspoon all night long and never called one good moment for Holmes they seemed to have some dislike or biased attitude towards Holmes. I don't think it was quite as wide as you but I do agree the controversy regarding the scoring gets way overblown. Holmes won most of the first 6 rounds then Witherspoon gave away the last 2 rounds doing an Ali impression. For me Holmes won atleast 7 or 8 rounds and I don't know what people are looking at when they say Witherspoon won the fight.
