I like your post, but truth be told as you stated, Mike Tyson was mentally fragile and very immature when it came to life in general. A more mature young man would have adjusted without his mentors as difficult emotionally as it was. A more experienced young man would have saw the likes of Robin Givens and her mother coming, then would have walked the other way. Givens was attractive, but as again a more mature man would have figured, a date with her yes, but would have realized there are other woman out there, in other words she is not the type that will be joining him on the porch swing in his old age. And lastly, he could not tell the difference between real friends and Leeches, as he was later used by them. In all a very talented fighter, pleasant young man, but an easy touch in life, he needed to be wised up in life.

    Lol no.

    Holmes never beats prime Tyson.

As soon as he tries to fire back, Tyson will maul him.

He also had an ATG jab, great chin and recovery. If anyone in prime beats Tyson, then it's Larry.

Imo Mike Tyson was the most dominant Heavyweight of all time vs B level opposition.
His quickness, speed, and power made it impossible for a fighter not extremely skilled and at the top of his game
    to even compete against.

Now, when the fighter brings an A level skillset and is at the top of his form, then Mike Tyson at his very best would have issues against such opposition. All of a sudden, he's to small, lacks the reach, and his bobbing and weaving style deteriorates with each passing round.

Mike Tyson, destroyer of good fighters but very much beatable against fighters better than just good.

    I agree.

Even if it takes Larry to be initially as cautious and mobile as possible, primarily pumping only the jab for the first 4 rds or so (the first 4 rds being the MOST dangerous window when facing Mike) he has the ability to stay out of harms way with his chin as a safety net if necessary.

That’s an extreme evasion scenario - Larry could possibly begin strongly infusing the right hand and the uppercut that bit earlier but certainly it would be much safer to do so after 4 rds or so.

Well, TBH, I’ve always known you to be honest except when you’re being dishonest which, in all honesty, can sometimes be hard to distinguish given your honest admission as to holding dishonest opinions.

Perhaps if you start all your posts henceforth with either TBH or NTBH it will be clear and very Shakespearean as an added bonus. I quite like the old Bard-stard.

Massively overrated with the casuals, but with people who know boxing he is rated fairly, though I don’t get how people say he would’ve beaten Holyfield and Lewis in his prime, there are plenty I’d pick to beat him like Vitali Klitschko, Riddick Bowe, George Foreman, Tyson Fury, Muhammad Ali
He was still very good, but h2h not in the top 5

I ran that through my state of the art logic/lie detector (early Xmas present I couldn’t wait to open). TBH and I mean TBH, while the machine began to overheat and smoke a little, you came out okay. Worth every cent I would say.

And a Merry Xmas to ya and the rest of the gang here.
