Toney-Peter II was tough to watch for me as well. Watching a great fighter in terrible shape getting outboxed by the Nigerian Non-Entity was not fun.

I've always been underwhelmed by de la Hoya-Molina. Its not that its a bad performance by de la Hoya as such, he uses the jab well and gets in some nice combinations and left hooks. He has that success with the meat and veg of his offence but as a whole performance? Rather uninspiring and flat. Let Molina off the hook a number of times when he landed good hard shots that had JJ stunned. One thing that annoys me is that he is content to allow himself to be bullied in the clinch by JJ despite showing he was the stronger man in the clinch at times. If he had taken the initiative more and bullied Molina back, throw some rabbit punches himself in retaliation to JJ's then maybe he would of forced JJ to abandon that plan. Instead he was content to take it and complain to the referee. Not a bad performance but uninspiring.

I'd probably point out the Camacho fight too. Dominant but uninspiring. Couldn't get to Camacho once he had got to him in the first round.

Mark Johnson - Rafa Marquez II for me. I watched it once and that was enough.

Johnson was the guy I wanted to be as a youngster training, and I was convinced he'd beat Rafa in the rematch (he's have gotten the nod the first time if it hadn't been for point deductions).

His face after the first KD in the 8th just screamed "didn't I used to be able to do this??". It was a sorry sight for me.

Never thought he'd come back to beat someone of Montiel's quality after that.
