Not sure if it makes me unique but i throw my jab constantly lol I like to step off and counter keep poppin the jab doubling it up a lot they come in and occasionaly drop a straight right to the body. I'm tall with a good reach so it works well for me.
thats an excellant thing to have my footworks alright nothing spectacular just good for my style of fighting but i appreciate good footwork in fighters
I am a combination between a slugger, a boxer puncher, swarmer with some flash thrown in, and some top flight counter-punching ability. I use my footwork to get in range, and use a combination of good feel for distance, blistering reflexes and great boxing mind to outwit my opponent, while being very hard to hit. But I also get hit a lot in the face and body, but I don't care because I have a George Chuvalo like chin, but my hook is like a freight train, i've knocked my trainer out during padwork, because i slipped and knocked him out and i had to leave the gym but i\m a self-taught boxer and am going to go pro anyway if i am allowed to enter the olympics.
Actually forgot to mention that I like to throw sneeky uppercuts to the balls when the ref is looking. That's why I'm 0-20 in the amateurs, but records don't mean anything, this is why the amateurs don't produce good pros anymore - nobody fights like me.
I like to bounce forward, jab, bounce back, than forward again real quick and throw a 1-2. Also slipping inside the jab and countering with a straight left followed by a right hook.
1. If you jump around the ring that often don't be surprised when somebody hits you with a hayemaker and drops your arse. Occasionally yes. 2. It sounds like a **** nickname. 3. I would of thought your trademark was switch-hitting and sneeky uppercuts. - On topic, I like to employing the Muhammad Ali technique of countering the jab. Keep on my toes and when the opponent shoots the jab, I can hop back and then hop back in with the jab, usually I like to double up on it and then let the right hand go behind it.
maywetaher does stuff like that he jabs pulls back then comes in at a differnt angle almost immediatly with a few other shots normally right hand lead left hook that Ali thing is good but hard to do if they throw a 1-2
If I see a right hand coming I obviously wouldn't step in though. I'd just use my lateral movement and step to the right.
yeh, i used to do that sometimes but i would get caught coming in with the right hand once an oppoennt worked it out
Another thing I do a lot is when I counter the jab with a left, its to the body, than I hop out of range real fast, I need to start making this a combination though instead of a single shot.
