Your Lopez vs. Mtagwa scorecards

115-113, I scored the last round 10-8 for Mtagwa.

Lopez won the fight clearly, but he was obviously going for the KO from the outset, and Mtagwa simply was not going to be knocked out.

Lopez was firing hellacious power punches round after round, and Mtagwa just kept coming forward.

By the 9th Lopez was clearly tiring. Mtagwa didnt outclass him any which way, simply Lopez had been fighting at a blistering pace and got tired. It gave Mtagwa the chance to press the attack

Lopez should tremendous heart. He got rocked in the 10, 11th, and pretty much out on his feet in the 12, but finished the fight standing.


It was a great learning experience for Lopez. He needed to learn that not everyone can be KOed. He could have won the fight much more easily had he simply paced himself and boxed Mtagwa.
