I can see Floyd beating Chavez at 135lb, Arguello at 130lb, but Pryor would eat him up at 140lb. Eat him up.

The way Arguello was catching him flush with right hands makes me think floyd would do the same with more frequency while not gettin hit as much. Floyd ud for me

It's easy to say we can see Maywather beating Chavez, but just to play devil's advocate, if you take Castiillo's first bout with Floyd, and you look at Chavez' short stay at 135, then that one has the case for the contravertial one here. But that could also be seen a nitpicking.

I usually fairly confident with most of my hypothetical picks.

But here is one that I'm sure goes against the normal opinion...

I like the great Benny Leonard by decison over Mickey Walker at welterweight.

    1. Jersey Joe Walcott over Foreman and Bowe. Just his style.

    2. Harold Johnson over Gene Tunney

    3. Gavilan over Ray Leonard can't really expalin just think Kid has the style to fustrate leonard and get a close win.

    4. Howard Winstone over Arguello and Pac at 126 don't think the second part is that controversial but Pac has millions of fans on these boards.

    5. Vicente Saldivar over Salvador Sanchez

I probably got a lot more but can't seem to think of them.

Iv'e often wondered about this one, I can see it going either way myself.I would put Wilde at no1 Fly but Lynch is no 2 and very very close ,imo.

Winstone would be up against it with Pacman ,being a south paw nullifies some of the effectiveness of Winstone's premier weapon, his left jab.As Saldivar did.

yeh it is an intriguing match up

    i have wilde no 1

but benny lynch never had time to establish himself really like wilde did. benny had amazing skills with a powerful punch and in many ways was like wilde in that respect.

i can see both fighters winning but i like lynchs way of winning better

How is that "controversial"???? Janitor always picks the old-timer over more modern fighters. :rofl

OK..... prime versions of Sonny Liston and Larry Holmes over Lennox Lewis.:D
I feel a hard well timed jab was the key to unlocking Lewis' style.

    Where to begin?

I have picked Barbados Joe Walcott over Ray Leonard, given him a good shot at Bob Foster, and tiped him to put a beatdown on Tex Cobb.

I have picked Sam Langford to beat any heavyweight once in a series of three.

    Mickey Walker over John Ruiz.
