Hey guys :) my first post here. I'm hoping to be a regular on here and really brush up on my boxing knowledge, as well as contribute.

In your opinion who was the most exciting fighter from 1970 to 1980, and 1980 to 1989?

In my extremely biased opinion since they're two of my favorites:

    70-80: Duran

    80-90: Tyson

    Thank you!

I've heard Saad Muhammad was in a bunch of wars, I really need to check them out.

Like many I've only ever seen Aaron Pryor fight Arguello but I can easily imagine he was a very exciting fighter in the 80's based on his style.

I'd check out all of them, but his two most exciting to me are his second fights with Marvin Johnson and Yaqui Lopez in 1979 and 1980, respectively.

Many to Choose from and there is no real right or wrong answer.....

I could rewatch many over and over, but put me down for:
    70’s Duran
    80’s Azumah Nelson

And welcome to the classic forum

I liked the first Johnson fight the best. The first Conteh fight though not as consistently exciting as those is also great IMO.

I think Saad Muhammad, Ruben Olivares and Bobby Chacon would be my three choices for the 70s and 80s. Probably in that order too.

Edwin Rosario and Danny Lopez being very honorable mentions.
