Your most intense experience watching a fight live?

I have a lot of them the one for me with ALOT of money involved was Lewis vs Holyfield one BC I thought I just won TEN G's when Lewis won by decision which is the bet I put in.

Some other ones I remember is Foreman vs Moorer in a room filled with friends telling me I'm crazy picking Foreman.

The most emotionally invested? Probably Joshua vs Klitchko.

The biggest fight watched with a lot of family was Tyson vs Holyfield and the ear bite.

The most crowded place with very high tensions was Trinidad vs Delahoya.

There's also Foreman vs Cooney in a at ends with my father...too many I guess Joshua vs Klitchko.

Benn Vs McClellan, I was there, at one point I believe I had an out of body experience LOL

It's without doubt the most electrifying atmosphere I've ever experienced at any sport event. The ring walks were amazing, you could feel something very explosive and dramatic was about to happen, I can remember it felt like I was breathing in red hot air.

The second round is probably one of my favourite rounds of all time and one of the best rounds I've watched live, as you know Benn was punched through the ropes in the first round and looked lights out (Benn said he was lights out after the fight).

Benn being Benn, comes out for the second round and just threw everything at McClellan, the crowd went insane, it was absolute fire.

That fight sort of killed live sport for me for a while, it was so good everything else seemed rather dull.

 

Gatti-Ward 1. Hands down.

 

Well the only fight card I've seen in person was Mayweather vs. Ortiz so I'd have to go with that drama show.

 

I was in a bar in New Zealand full of Samoans when David Tua knocked out Michael Moorer just seconds into the FIRST ROUND.

Can you imagine a bar full of 250 beefy Samoans all chanting "TUA, TUA, TUA" ?

Unforgettable.

but you must be in your 50's or thereabouts, so to post like this means you're really mired in a life you just don't enjoy
draw on that life experience and find a place where you feel good about life. exercise, socialise!

The first big fight I watched was my most intense boxing experience.

It was Chris Eubank vs Nigel Benn II. I remember it like it was yesterday.

A razor close fight and a razor close decision, it was a great blend of styles, and a genuine grudge match.

 

My most intense experiences were usually at their peak in the hour building up to the walk ons, butterflies and nerves. These came in a few fights some the nerves went but some the nerves didnt go away.

Benn vs McClellan
Naseem Hamed vs Kevin Kelley
Lennox Lewis vs Donovan Ruddock
Calzaghe vs Lacy
Joshua vs Klitchko.

 

For me it was in MMA when Anderson SIlva spent 4 and a half rounds on his back getting beaten up by Chael Sonnen only to pull off the long-shot triangle choke at the last second. Everyone there hated Anderson but me and my friends. We got to rub it in the face of everyone there when he pulled it out with 30 seconds left. That said I usually work weekends and don't get to watch many fights live.

 

As a big Marquez fan I watched it at 6am german time on a stream and screamed so lound my gf woke up and asked wft are you doing on the PC around this time in the morning.

 

Froch vs Bute was pretty intense, especially given Froch was a pretty sizeable underdog and Froch was one of my faves at the time. Eubank Jnr. Vs Nick Blackwell due to the sheer ferocity from Jnr. and the absolute pasting Blackwell was taking. Wasn't the least bit surprised at the outcome given the schlacking that was dished out.
Joshua vs WK for the seesaw, back and forth nature of the fight. Benn vs Watson as I loved the Dark Destroyer and just remember thinking WTF ARE YOU DOING !!!! You're gonna punch yourself the **** out!

Benn vs Mclellan had me on the edge of my seat, spilling my beer all over the shop and shouting myself hoarse, unbelievable drama.

 

I remember being very wound up for Groves-Froch 1 - I knew Groves was going to seriously do some damage early on, and I was right. As soon as Pac-Marquez 4 started I was on edge, neither were holding back this time, and it was scary.

 

Margarito vs Cotto 1.

Obviously at the time no one knew that Margo was carrying bricks in his hands until the whole Mosley fight many months later, but for sheer adrenaline and a boxing buzz, that fight was truly edge of the seat stuff.
