we used to get those fights on either 3 day or 7 day delay in the uk

there were a few cinemas in london that showed them live but they were very expensive compared to the wages off the time.

i remember the leanord v duran build up
it was huge and everyone was looking forward to the fight.

listened to it as i did with all the big american fights of the late 70s early 80s on the radio
    live.
i forget who did the uk commentry on the radio but from memory they made the big fights come alive .

reg gutteridge and harry carpenter did the tv commentary that i remember.

I remember night fishing in the early 80s listening with excitement in the early hours rooting for Larry Holmes.

    I don't do alts, ever.
I said you were at least in your 50's based on the fights you had seen live.
I just can't understand how someone your age sets himself up as a whipping boy on the forum by your inability to communicate with people. life experience is valuable for a reason.

Most tense for me was Lewis Rahman II. I was a huge Lewis fan growing up and I was heart broken when he got knocked out. Seeing him knock him out and beat on his chest made me elated...God. I love boxing. Merry Christmas.

Trinidad vs Vargas for me. I was a 16 year old El Feroz fan who was backing him all the way! One of the best hair raising fights ive ever seen, and I still watch it to this day!

    WARRR FEROZ!

God, there were so many. In this order.

Douglas-Tyson in Tokyo (shock factor and determination by Douglas who had just lost his mom)
    Ali-Frazier 1 (epic)
    Hearns-Hagler (the war)
    Bowe-Holyfield (brutal)

I can't boil it down to one moment.

It's time that you got away from this forum. If this forum is this serious to you then your life must be miserable. But I'd go this route too if I were you lmao. And if your under an alt, then it is YOU who has an inability to communicate with people, lmao.
