Wgat I am saying is the true story Ive known Tony since 1999 & have seen his hands wrapped coumtless times & never seen any wrongdoings.
All Tony did wrong was legitimately beat Cotto when he wasn't supposed to therefore upsettomg Floyd & Oscars plans. Neither wanted to fight him themselves but he had to be got rid of Si they conspired to railroad him
CSAC had already banned him onthe word of a liar BEFORE the [ade were ever tested

Hard to pin it down to just one.

I've had some memorably intense experiences attending fights since I was a kid, with Hamed-Vazquez (Nynex, Manchester), Hatton-Maussa (Sheffield Arena), Johanneson-Gomez (Doncaster Dome), Bradley-Witter (on the Froch-Rybacki undercard at Notts Arena), Cotto-Margarito II (MSG), Brook-Jones I (Sheffield again) and Matthysse-Peterson (Boardwalk Hall) all standing out. And also watching friends fight.

As far as my most intense live TV boxing experiences go, Carl Froch was at the center of a lot of them - the bouts with Pascal, Taylor, Kessler (I & II), Abraham, Bute and Groves (I & II) all made for a heightened sense of theater in their ways (heck, even the Johnson fight felt like a nail-biter for a spell).

Some other especially gripping live TV boxing experiences that spring to mind are Morales-Pacquiao (I & II), Hatton-Tszyu, Calzaghe-Lacy, Cotto-Malignaggi, Pacquiao-De La Hoya/Hatton/Cotto, Salido-JuanMa II, JMM-Manny IV, Bradley-Provodnikov. Also, a bunch of fights involving personal domestic favorites like Carl Johanneson and Kevin Mitchell (on whom I'd put a very big wager to beat John Murray by T/KO), and other combustible domestic matchups where I might've felt a little allegiance to one of the principles (Gomez-Arthur, Rhodes-Moore).

I gave it some thought and I know mine now...

Pacquiao-Rios was the most intense experience I've ever had watching boxing... Pacquiao was coming off of a year long lay off and the brutal JMM KO. When the opening bell rang, I almost died. In my mind, Rios was going to badly wobble Pac w/ the first semi-flush shot he landed and then finish him off.

Tyson vs Spinks as a little 15 year old Robney.
Iron Mike completely obliterating that pretender that acted like he was some kind of champion in half a round :ggg

It might be because I never really apprehended Manny from the point of view of a 'Pacquiao fan' (per se) that I felt sure he would come back strong and have at least one or two more significant, victorious nights for us to remember him by - perception of him had seemed to go from 'granite-jawed' to 'vulnerable' in the space of one fight, on account of a single perfect punch that Marquez had trained to land with maximum velocity and momentum, but Manny had a somewhat Duran-like brand of tough cladding and resilience that I thought shouldn't be doubted. It was hard for me to envisage the great Manny Pacquiao folding the next time he was touched solidly. Maybe that also has something to do with the esteem I had for Marquez' accomplishment, knowing that no other punchers around had everything it took to create that perfect storm.

I had some ties to the Rios camp at the time, and it was an awkward task to muster enthusiasm for his chances when dialoging with certain parties.

Tito cheated his way with an intentional low blow on Vargas, and avoided being KO'd by Vargas after Vargas knocked down Tito.

No doubt there is rampant corruption in boxing but it is hard for me to imagine a ban was based solely on a lie. There had to have been some hard facts uncovered.

Unfortunately I've never had the experience to see a live fight with big names in it... I can only imagine the feeling.. Must be great..

Believe me there were NONE !! Merely accusations started with a blatant lie.
What happened to those " PLASTER BLOCKS " Richardson claimed fell out of Margarito's wraps ?? No one else ever saw them. THAT was what Margarito was banned on BEFORE the pads were microscopically examined & deemed HARNLESS!!!

To my discredit, I didn't read the thread before posting in it earlier. There are some great nominations here.

Same for me, although I was a keen fan going back to his domestic days.

Very good shout. Margarito knowing he was only going out to meet his executioner in the 9th, but solemnly demanding to be let off his stool just the same. It should be hard to not admire the nobility of that choice, whether one believes in 'plaster wraps' or not.

I had a very intense erection when watching Ohara Davies quit against Taylor this year. But above that, I was at GGG-Brook and I take no umbrage in admitting I went full on fan boy whilst GGG talked to the ring.

In terms of TV? Tough call. The KO of Froch-Groves II has to be up there.
