He's a decent boxer, with pretty good speed and all round fundamentals. But he's not as good as he thinks he is, and has a questionable chin. Caballero will beat him handily.
Never been particularly high on Litzau. If he's matched at the right level, he can be in some entertaining fights and make a nice career for himself. He's never going to be an elite fighter but people always like to watch guys with good power and questionable chins who like to brawl. It's a fair fight for Caba since it's his first fight at the weight and, by all accounts, his future lies at 126. Caballero is a level above and should win this one without too much hassle.
Don't even remember if I have seen him fight. DO you think this fight will do anything to put him on a path to fight Gamboa or Lopez??
No. But caba doesn't want to be on a path to either yuri or juanma. He's not on their level. Caba is waaaaayyyy over rated, but he's a level above club fighter/fringe contender jason litzau.
Jay Nady blew that Rocky Juarez fight, that cut was Clearly caused by a punch not the "headbutt" Nady called and eventually went to the scorecards for a Rocky loss right when he was coming on strong. i know Litzau had nothing to do with Nady's decision but it still leaves me a little salty.
The size and power difference between guererro and caba isn't even close. Litzau won't be in the same danger as he was that night. Also, i was glad to read that the kid hired a strength coach, as he's always looked very weak next to his opponents. At the weigh-in with caba he looked alot stronger and built. He'll lose tonight, but it won't be because he gets smashed up and overpowered like he did against the ghost. He'll just get outboxed and stopped on accumalation by the vastly overrated panamanian.
