In light of recent talks of Povetkin facing Fury after Boswel, and the way he is refered to as a World Champion, what are your views of him and his standing?
Never have seen a guy as carefully matched as this former Olympic Gold... The guy knows he will fail any attempt at a serious Championship.
But to be fair, Haye got in the ring with Wlad. Thats about the only good thing to be said about Haye, but, he DID get in the ring with Wlad.
I think Povetkin will face Wlad after/if he beats Rahman his mandatory. Can't wait for that fight, it's the biggest fight that can be made since Lennox was about.
Yes, but once in there what did he do? I'm not suggesting that Klitschko-Povetkin would be Ibeabuchi-Tua or anything, but it's hard to envision Sasha doing what Haye did (maybe more of an Iggy approach). It might not be gallant, and it would almost certainly be a devastatingly unsuccessful effort - but I'm sure Povetkin for all that's wrong with him would give it a braver try against the giant than Haye did.
I'm sure he'll try harder too. It's really not hard to do better overall than Haye did. Just trying to fight is a massive improvement over that performance. But that's still IF he gets in the ring with Wlad.
