Your Opinion On David Tua, Vs Ezzard Charles??

As great as those opponents were achievements wise, they were small men/not proper HWs size wise.So it's irrelevant who Tua beat.
Fact of the matter is Charles got beat by Marciano, who was slow, had a small reach, was not very skilled and could not hit as hard as Tua.

Marciano is not a skilled HW. Neither is Tua.
But Tua is stronger and hits harder, therefore he's superior.

Yes, really. As limited as he is skill wise, Tua beats everyone Marciano beat.

We are not referring to out of prime Charles. This is a prime for prime fight. Charles didn’t really drop any wins in prime (44-51) other then against Elmer Ray (split decision) which he avenged. Tua was not hard to out box. Having power and left hook isn’t good enough here. Charles faced plenty of good hitters far more accurate and skilled then Tua man.

Maybe you need to study up a little. Marciano was far superior to Tua skill wise. They were about equal in strength and speed and endurance . Marciano had great power both hands though was superior defensively and held two skill set that Tua did not do well. Marciano could cut off the ring far better then Tua ever could. He also closed the gap in more ways then Tua could. Meaning he had more options to adapt. That’s why movers always beat Tua. He couldn’t adapt.

 

Charles never faced anyone who could hit as hard as Tua.
And you are right, Charles can outbox Tua, but sooner or later Tua catches him, and then it's all over.

I’m not so sure Tua hit harder then Louis, Moore, or Walcott. All fighters who knocked out better fighters then Tua ever knocked out. I’m not even knocking Tua to much. I like him. But he was limited.
