To me, this knockout wasn't as awe inspiring as it was to some. Kelly was barely ranked, Jones was one of, if not the, best in the world. A knockout was expected to happen, and while it is kind of tricky to score one with your hands behind your back, the whole thing seemed unsportsmanlike and humiliating for Kelly. At this point Jones was making a career of fighting second raters, and expecting to be admired by everyone as much as he admired himself. Apparently some fans were tickled pink by this, and still are.

Can we ban this idiot before he has a chance to get started?

The only thing one could critisize Roy for is maintaining his belts by defending against his mandatories rather than the best fighters in and around the division, then again they could have been ducking him

He never fought abroad - small blot on his copybook as well

All in all one could say he has had a reasonable career

Not many middleweight champions go on to win a heavyweight one - albeit only an alphabet strap.

kelly although not the hardest of challengers, was still fairly decent, must have had some good wins to have got where he was. yet jones had mentally ****ed him by the time he did that, those pathetic half hearted jabs - i think jones should have been applauded for KOing him from that position, amazing handspeed, and the amount of confidence to put yourself in that position - i'd give it, taking into account the status of the match, quality of oppo, actual skill involved - 8/10. always a nice one for the cameras/highlights though.

wanna no something weird.....while i was watching this video, i blinked.....and when my eyes opened he was on the canvas, his hand speed never ceases to amaze me...an ATG KO, and i'm not a big Jones jr. fan

but with that aside, his opponent was no Hopkins or anything, but still to be vanquished in that fashion is impressive no matter who it is

Great looking KO win. That behind the back move was added by the guys in EA Sports Fight Night boxing game to Roy Jones' character. It was his special KO move in that game. Hard as hell to master though. I never KD an opponent once using that move.

IMHO, his one shot, body shot KO versus Virgil Hill was more awesome.

Majestic performance against a woefully bad opponent. Some would argue we can say that too much about Jones.

Brilliant. Kelly was largely untested however and it looked like it only glanced him, didn't look like he landed flush.

It was most probably solid knuckle hitting Kelly behind the ear, with relatively moderate force.

Messed up his equilibrium and was so dizzy, he couldnt get up.

It's a unique piece of boxing anthology, regardless of the opposition. I don't care what people here think, it takes infinite talent and confidence to pull such a trick.

Only RJJ could have done it.
