Thats a good argument for Bradley, but anyone seeing his showing against Casamayor would struggle to rank him that highly
I can't comprehend how anybody would have Donaire below 4th, he's got one of, if not the most underrated body of wins in the entire sport. Montiel and Darchinyan aside he's still beaten some quality opposition in Mthalane, Marquez and to an extent Sydorenko amognst a few others(I'd have Narvaez right up there if not for the fact he really shouldn't have been at bantam). 1. Mayweather 2. Pacquiao 3. Marquez 4. Donaire 5/6. Klitschko/Ward(take your pick between dominance over weak opposition and longevity or dominance against quality opposition over a short period) 7. Martinez 8. Bradley 9. Hopkins(will probably be out soon) 10. Mares(far, far superior to Nishioka, IMO) The top three is difficult, I don't think I'll ever be certain on their placement, all very interchangeable. You could omit the latter two and feasibly put in like ten guys. In all honesty B-Hop probably doesn't belong there but what will be will be. Mares is probably only there because of how highly I rate/rated Agbeko.
I knew you were going to go there. Manny didnt lose a round against Mosley and certainly didnt get clocked in humiliating fashion in the second round. Vis-à-vis, better performance. Mayweather beat Marquez convincingly, but so what? One win doesnt outdo all the other work a fighter has done. Fact is Manny has put together a better record in the last few years than Floyd and with better results. He stopped Oscar. He knocked Hatton out in two rounds. He battered Cotto (who Mayweather avoided except when he was too green to win, much like Ortiz, actually), Clottey and Margarito (another two Floyd didnt want to face). He then clumped Mosley before struggling with a guy who had given him problems before. To downgrade him based on that is just silly. Its a stylistic issue. You can easily ask what a full-blown welter was doing fighting a lightweight. Oh wait, we did! Pac is more proven than Mayweather at this stage. Hes have battered the snot out of Ortiz too.
Donaire and Ward 4 and 5. Any order, not too bothered, lean more towards Donaire though. Seems pretty clear to me now that these two are top 5. I'd have Bradley just after them, he's not quite as special.
Floyd Mayweather Juan Manuel Marquez Manny Pacquiao Nonito Donaire Sergio Martinez Andre Ward Timothy Bradley Bernard Hopkins Wladimir Klitschko Pongsaklek Wonjongkam (The fact that he's top 10 kind of shows the state boxing is in at the minute)
1.Manny Pacquiao 2.Floyd Mayweather 3.Juan Manuel Marquez 4.Sergio Martinez 5.Nonito Donaire 6.Wladimir Klitschko 7.Andre Ward 8.Pongsaklek Wonjongkam 9.Tim Bradley 10.Vitali Klitschko
1 Floyd 2 JMM 3 Pac 4 Donaire 5 Ward 6 Martinez 7 Wlad 8 Gamboa 9 Vitali 10 Bradley (Pac would be nr1 if he had won his last fight but i refuse to acknowledge daylight robberies much like Chisora vs Helenius) Also by now Floyds nr1 position is mostly based on theoretical h2h, his resume in the last 5 years is getting very thin. A flabby version of Marquez being his best win. *edit i generally do not jump on bandwagons but Wards resume is getting very solid and if he would beat Bute + either moves up or down and fights the top there i could see him jumping to nr 1 or 2 especially if Pac and Floyd keep dissapointing. (Pac by losing or Floyd by fighting irrelevant fights)
1 Pacquiao 2 Mayweather Jr 3 JM Marquez 4 Martinez 5 Donaire 6 Ward 7 W Klitschko 8 Hopkins 9 Cotto 10 Bradley (There pretty much because people have moved in and out, while he has barely fought this year) On the cusp: Froch, Viloria, Peterson, Khan, Segura, Gonzalez, Gamboa

No, no no. If Pacquaio was ever allowed near Mayweather, he would be utterly outclassed. Just as Joan Guzman would have done 5-7 years back.
