Golovkin, my bet is he does the same thing he did against Lemieux. If Golovkin throws 30+ jabs a round I don't see how Canelo can win.
Canelo will have his moments with his combination punching but I don't think he hits hard enough to put a dent in GGG over the full 12. I think Golovkin will use his jab to break him down and stop him late in a fight that will be a lot more competitive than alot of people think. GGG in 8-10.
Cant see past a GGG win in this, I am a big shouter of Canelo being a ducking chicken and i cant stand ODH but i have never claimed Canelo is a poor fighter. He is a fanstastic Boxer. On paper he may well be the best Boxer Golovkin will of faced in his career. But there is a reason Canelo hasnt been facing Middleweights at their natural weight who are currently sitting in the top seats of the division, there is a reason that instead he has been facing fattened up Welters or weight drained Super Middles. The Jacobs, Golovkins, Lee,s Jacobs of the world fighting at the correct weight with no concessions. I think the things that make Canelo so great as a Boxer have not fully been carried up through the weight to 160. He isnt the monster he was at 147 or even 154.
18 months ago I would say GGG wins this, now Im going with canelo. Canelo has improved while GGG has aged a bit, don't think GGG is stopping canelo. Canelo on points.
Canelo has no power to keep GGG off him. He will be out jabbed, pinned to the ropes and tkoed with Oscar throwing In the towel.
Long time GGG fan here, but I think the time is right for Canelo. He's really grown into a full 160lber and I think he can really hurt Golovkin. I'm going to go for a Canelo late stoppage.
I think GGG decisions Canelo, because Canelo has a good chin, he would fight a defensive fight and doesn't have the power to regularly hurt GGG. I doubt GGG will knock him out because Canelo will not brawl with GGG.
