Chagaev is A former Amateur world champion who has very solid boxing skills and some power and A great chin. Browne is A slow crude fighter with almost no skill. Chagaev will outclass him

He is looking less plodding, and more calculated...I'm picking Browne. I reckon it'll come down to hunger.

The Russian's aren't paying Browne to come over, in a title fight, that he has any realistic chance of winning.

Not that he's good enough to beat Chagaev regardless. There's a world of difference between an ATG amateur and very accomplished pro and a glorified tough man competitor in Lucas Browne.

He's struggled in three quarters of his last dozen fights, even against dire competition... whether he's been outclassed by rudimentary boxing skills or had his face ripped to pieces with cuts that would of seen the fight stopped in other countries.

He's feasting on corpses and not even winning convincingly (Losing on my card) against guys who would be lucky to squeeze into a top 20 heavyweight list (Rudenko). A Travis Browne who was 1-4 in his last four? Fighters with 20 losses a piece in Gavern and Long? Being put on the back foot and running away from a mid 40's James Toney?

Browne is a carnival act, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stopped in eight or less here. This fight is being made because Chagaev needs to stay relevant and visible with his title, and because it's going to flatter Ruslan's current abilities.

I'm sure Eddie Hearn thought the same thing when he brought Barroso in to face Mitchell, but sometimes things don't go as planned.:hey

Both tough mother****ers. Ruslan is more skilled. Or at least he was, he hasn't fought anyone decent in years. Chagaev UD.

Chagaev has looked pretty shot lately except for the quick Pianeta fight. However Browne is crude brawler. Chagaev wins late.

Have you taken Browne 6 inch height advantage and reach advantage along with Ruslan's long layoff, terrible performance against Oquendo and the fact that he hasn't had an actual test in years in to account? And he's old.
