This might be a bit silly but what are instances where you think the commonly held belief is correct? This is the exact opposite of the unpopular boxing opinion threads that pop up every now and then. For example, I agree with the popular idea that Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis are the top 2 heavyweights of all time.
That Tyson could’ve been the HW GOAT… most casual held opinion there is, I do think MT had that sort of potential and ability.
The state of boxing has declined. Fighters aren’t fighting each other enough, too much picking and choosing, skill level has declined, and fighters don’t care as much about legacy anymore.
That Ali was 'the greatest ' ... not just for his HW achievements but as a crossover star outside of boxing.
I have to give that to Tyson he’s the biggest celebrity in boxing I believe, to this day we’ve got pitbulls in my area with his name lol.
