Who do you predict will be the heavyweight champion in 2030?

Joshua, Fury, Usyk and several others will be retired by then. Kabayel will be 37. Among the younger heavyweights, who do you think will come out on top?

Mention anyone you think should be on the list with a post.

Did you omit Agit Kabayel because you think he will be retired by then or you just don’t see him having a chance to win the title and keep it into 2030?

He's already age 33, so he'll be 37 at that time. It's possible that he might be champion then, but most boxers (Usyk being a rare exception) are faded by that age.

So I just included those who will be 35 or younger in 2030.

Tyson Fury will be visited by gypsey angels after a late night coke bender and realise it is his DESTINY to unify the belts. He foreswears all drugs and alcohol and begins training like a demon. The Tyson Fury Era is still ongoing in 2030 and Miniq is onto his 5th alt after being banned so many times for unbearable smugness.

I mean ... the odds are not high, but it COULD happen.

It is reported the Itauma is packing fine grade A bone china in his mandible region, and it may well be smashed to bits by Franklin in their fight coming up. It wont be Itauma. We could have a Davey Boy Price situation with Itauma.

Interesting to see that Hughie Fury is not in this poll, he has more experience at the highest level than any of these guys other than Dubois. With the right promotion he could end up with a trinket. All depends on how good the next generation and how long the current generation hangs on for.

The rule of age 37 applies to HWs. Once a HW gets to 37 they go completely off (with only a few notable exceptions). Hughie will be 35 in 2030 so he will be very much current. However will the lad discover his man strength finally and want to fight still at that age?

Young Daniel is far too fragile. Its far too early days for Leo Atang, and we have not seen him tested.

From those names the most likely is Fabio Wardley, he will be 35/36 by then, so still under the age of 37.

Franklin is featherfisted, so even if he lands it doesn't mean he will drop Itauma (and it won't prove that Itauma can take a good punch). Franklin went 10 rounds vs Pavel Sour - a guy who was knocked out early vs Hrgovic, Hughie Fury and Nathan Gorman, neither of whom are hard hitters.

And at a particular moment in time, lots of people would've answered Pricey thinking they could see the future.

It's just too far out - too much could change in what we know about the guys we're actually aware of (those more proven now, especially Dubois, could wind too too shopworn by that point - whilst others we have massive unknowns around stamina and chin, with Itauma firmly in that category), and others could appear from nowhere, or through the amateurs/olympics, etc...

Anyone claiming to have more than a speculative hunch is pretending to know things they can't possibly know.

Yes, come to think of it I probably should have included him in the poll. I'm looking forward to his fight on Sunday.

With good promotion and much more activity, Jalolov might have done very well. I hope he leaves Top Rank and signs with Zuffa.

People need to learn to restrain themselves on certain fighters - especially Itauma. I'm still yet to be convinced by him.

2030 is closer than it sounds scarily enough. Dubois is the most proven fighter on that list but if he loses to Wardley that will change the outlook.

I actually respect Jalolov wasn't included as an option.

If you look at how Usyks ruined the HW division I believe 2030 will be the oldest HW division in history. Lets say the champion is Moses, Anderson or someone like that they are going to have an old ass resume. Just the way its going to be. Its 4 years away if we look how far the divisions moved since 2022 we're really not that far out.

It would not shock me at all if Usyks lineal champ in 2030 fighting Zuffa boxing MMA fighters. Can't lose the belt if you don't fight anyone capable of taking it. This is a glitch I fear Usyk has discovered.
