Gavin, Bellew, Burns and Murray. I don't think Mitchell is back. Looking ahead of his opponent again, I feel. And either way, I just feel Murray will outwork him.

Gavin v Woodhouse: Gavin TKO 1 - I see Woodhouse getting ripped with body shots straight away and even though Curtis is tough, could get stopped real quick.. 20/1 on SkyBet!

Bellew v McKenzie: Undecided - I'm not sure yet to be totally honest. I think Bellew should win but I'm gonna rewatch their first fight later and make a prediction nearer the time. Odds aren't that good either way but if I might, might get on a McKenzie win if that's the conclusion I do come to.

Burns v Cook: Burns TKO 5 - Like everyone else have no idea why world #84 Nicky Cook is worthy of a 'world' title shot although he did outpoint Youssef Al Hamidi last time out..

Murray v Mitchell: Murray TKO 11 - Again I'm gonna look into his one in more detail later for a more accurate pick but right now I can't see past Murray. I think it'll be closely contested throughout but Murray will take over more late on and possibly get a stoppage or win a tight decision. Backed a double last week of Wlad and Murray now only waiting for Murray to **** it up for me. John can be backed at about 1/2 which is quite good IMO even though most will call this a '50/50' fight.

Ive not seen that much of Ricky Burns or Nicky Cook, other than whats on youtube. Looking at there records though Burns has a low KO %. Is Cooks punch resistance that bad that you think a KO is most likley?

 

Britain's greatest promoter kindly has Cook v Al Hamidi up on youtube. I know this is only a warm-up/comeback fight but if he boxes anywhere near this kind of pace, even Burns will completely smash him to bits and he'll get pulled out half way through.

Burns himself is ridiculously average for a 'world' champion though and him getting the stoppage is purely based on Cook not being ready at all. If Cook's at his best, it'll be quite close but Burns should still win. 12 rounds is long enough to force a stoppage IMO.

The top three pick themselves, the last one is a difficult pick.

For me, the best Mitchell beats the best Murray, but I don't know if we'll ever see the best Mitchell again.

If I was forced to bet on this, I'd take Murray just because of the questions surrounding Mitchell.

Hopefully though, Kev turns up in A1 nick.

 

Bute's one of those fighters that cruises a little too much though. I mean Jesse Brinkley went 9 rounds. Magee went 10. He caught Andrade (in the rematch) and Miranda early on and both gave in but even before that Andrade, Joppy and Bika (all though guys admittedly) went at least 10 rounds. You look at his record and although Bute has got one punch power, there's a proven history of him just slacking off too much early on. That's why I wouldn't personally back him getting an early win, even against someone like Mendy.

Fancy Gavin to take Woodhouse out early, I'm inclined to think he'd like to make a statement after his last performance.

Burns by decision, possibly a late stoppage due to Cook not being able to keep with the pace. He is to rusty..

Not sure on Murray - Mitchell, but I'm going to take Murray by SD.

 

Gavin wins within 8rounds but it will be a dirty fight.
Bellew wins in the fourth but has to get off canvas again.
Burns wins a wide points decision. Cook will do well to get 4rounds.
Murray wins by a late stoppage with Mitchell quitting on his stool and maybe a count from a body shop.

 

1: Gavin will win but i have not been impressed by him in the slightest since he turned pro.

2. Previous fight was a beauty and i can see it being another, Ovill had Bellew done twice and i can see that happening again but Bellew still comes out on top for me and then starts shouting for Cleverly!

3. Like most people very surprised Burns is fighting Cook and with Cook being out of the ring for so long cannnot see anything but a Burns win here, late stoppage.

4. Very tough one to call but with Mitchell being out for so long i fancy Murray to take it, have not been too impressed with Murray either and when he goes to world level he'll get smashed!

 

Gavin late - Too good for Woodhouse. Could be a points win too.

Bellew mid rounds - Don't think Bellew will make the same mistakes, think he'll start more steadily and break Ovill down. Ovill will have his usual mid-rounds crisis.

Burns points - Not sure if he's even got the power to stop Cook, but surely Cook can't win here. He's been on the coke for ****s sake.

Murray points - I don't rate Mitchell's ability to outbox people, except Breidis Prescott. I think he'll struggle with everything thats go on against Murray who is ready and has been waiting for a big fight like this.
