Let's see it ESB. Tomorrow features eight televised bouts. Who do you see taking them?

    HBO PPV:
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Sergio Martinez
Roman Martinez vs. Miguel Beltran Jr.
    Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Robert Marroquin
    Matther Macklin vs. Joachim Alcine

    Showtime:
    Saul Alvares vs. Josesito Lopez
Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon
Marco Rene Maidana vs. Jesus Soto Karass
Leo Santa Cruz vs. Eric Morel

Also, which fight do you think will be the best in total quality? Which fight are you most eager to watch?

It's only fair that I throw mine out there.

Sergio Martinez by UD in a fight that sees Jr. coming on in the latter rounds.
Roman Martinez late TKO over Beltran Jr. Beltran was fighting 8 rounders two fights ago.
Rigo UD Marroquin. Rigo sometimes underwhelms and his legal fiasco couldn't have helped training.
Macklin SD Alcine. Alcine is the more skilled fighter, but he's 36 and gets outworked down the stretch.

Canelo TKO Lopez. Josesito is a warrior, but the ref stops this late. Canelo is just too big.
Gonzalez KO DPDL in an absolute slugfest. This is the fight I think delivers big time.
Maidana UD Soto Karass Soto Karass is an old 29, he's been in a lot of tough fights.
Santa Cruz UD Morel Lots of action, the younger, undefeated Santa Cruz edges a game Morel.

I think many fights will deliver, but Gonzalez vs. DPDL caught my eye the moment it was made.

    Martinez over Fraud Jr.

Hoping Martinez would literally murder that scumbag and send him straight to the bigger scumbag of a father's arms.

Funny you mention the word scumbag while you have an AV of a woman beating scumbag, whos father was an even bigger drug trafficking scumbag.

    Idiot.

Chavez Jr. by KO (age advantage for Chavez)
Roman Martinez by UD (this one will be boring)
Marroquin by late KO (again, age difference for Marroquin)
    Macklin by late KO

Canelo Alvarez by early KO (easiest pick)
Ponce de Leon by SD (toughest pick, could go either way)
Soto Karass by UD (this one will be an ugly fight)
Santa Cruz by KO (youth is served on this night, see Chavez, Marroquin, Canelo Alvarez)

Martinez - via decision in a fight that will come to life as each round goes on (although bit worried about how will the judges score it?)
    Roman Martinez
    Rigondeaux - vis KO
    Macklin - via decision

    Alvares - via late KO/TKO
Undecided about Gonzales - De Ponce Leon
Soto Karass - in an upset
    Santa Cruz - via decision

This is getting good. Lots of threads about Martinez and Chavez, most expect a Canelo win, but not much about all the other fights.

So far only one pick against Rigo, some splits on the others.

Sergio late TKO in a war
    Rigondeaux by UD
Beltran by UD in an upset
    Macklin late TKO

    Canelo mid round TKO
Gonzalez mid to late round TKO in a WAR in probably the best fight of the night
    Soto-Karass razor close UD
    Santa Cruz wide UD

Oh and to add, Gonzales PDL caught my eye to. The obvious one is Martinez and Chavez but I always like seeing Macklin and Rigondeaux too, so I'm raging that I'll miss it. The best nights boxing in the last while

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Sergio Martinez - This is a great fight that has me excited. Alot of people are excited for this and for good reason. JCC Jr. will take over PBF and Pac. I will do a rbr on this.
Round 1 - Sergio uses his superior movement and speed to win the round. Jr. does not do much this round.
Round 2 - Same as round 1. Jr. starts working a bit more with little success.
Round 3 - Similar but Jr. is starting to time Sergio a bit more.
Round 4 - This is where the fight will start to shift a bit and I feel Sergio will still win the round but his movement is slowed a bit and Jr. is very close to landing something big.
Round 5 - Sergio's stamina is lengendary in the late rounds but his notorious break between the middle rounds starts to kick in. He looks a bit winded and is forced to trade a bit more. BIG mistake. Jrs chin is going to be his main weapon here and will win any exchanges because of it. We might see Sergio or Jr go down in this round. Sergio because of chin, Jr because of balance.
Round 6 - This is where the beginning of the end starts. Sergio is not very mobile and is exchanging too much. Jr can end this if he goes all out but more than likely due to respect he holds some back. He beats Sergio pretty solid in this round and Sergio is now busted up.
Round 7 - This is when Roach will tell Jr to push for the KO. Jr will do this and put Martinez down. Martinez will not go down easily and might stun Jr. in the process but he will go down. I really doubt he will make it out of the round.
Round 8 - If his corner does not stop it and he somehow makes it out of the round it gets stopped shortly into this round. My guess is left hook to the head.

I will place my bets on 7, 8 and 9.

Roman Martinez vs. Miguel Beltran Jr. - I have never seen either fighter fight. I have no idea....

Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Robert Marroquin - I have only seen limited footage of Marroquin but he could trouble Rigo. He is tall and reminds me a bit of Cordoba. Correct me if I am wrong. This could be a good fight for Rigo.

    Matther Macklin vs. Joachim Alcine
Really? Mackling by TKO. Alcine is a shell of his former self and even then Macklin is just too much for him.

    Showtime:
Saul Alvares vs. Josesito Lopez. I am going on a limb here. Huge Lopez fan so I gotta root for him. I think Lopez shocks us again. Wait to be clear. Alvarez wins on the cards but not in our eyes.

Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Daniel Ponce De Leon - This will be a short fight. It is such a toss up I can not flat out pick. I have changed my prediction on this one many times. Right now I will say DPL by knock out of the night.

Marco Rene Maidana vs. Jesus Soto Karass - This will be another great fight but neither fighter has the power to end it and also both have good chins so we get a possible FOTY. Karass by close decision.

Leo Santa Cruz vs. Eric Morel - Santa Cruz. Next!

Yes, you are right on about that. Also, Marroquin is only 23 years old, and has a 9-year age advantage over Rigondeaux. (This is not even mentioning the distractions Rigondeaux dealt with.)

If Rigondeaux is to win this fight, I think it must be an early stoppage. The longer this fight goes, I think Rigondeaux will be in some real trouble.

I was going to mention that as well but Marroquin has been dealing with the same things so I think that is a wash then.
