Scoop asked me to post this. I'm really starting to be a believer that Adamek can get this HW mission done. One should not doubt someone as strong in so many catagories as Adamek! :bbb http://www.boxinginsider.com/headlines/adamek-determined-to-win-heavyweight-title/
Decent article. Tell you what, Adamek is making a believer out of me too. I thought Arreola was going to steamroll him in about 4 rounds. Adamek keeps showing an ability to adapt to different styles and size opponents. he's a very intelligent fighter, and according to this article a very down to earth, good hearted, simple but quality human being and family man. He can most definitely win a heavyweight belt, absolutely. But if he is matched against the wrong guy and makes a mistake, he could get KOed just as easily. Good addition to the heavyweight division.
I've said all along that I think he can beat Vitali and Haye. No, I'm not Polish. No, I don't have any trace of Polish blood in me. I'm not a huge fan of Adamek, but I'm definitely a new fan.
Vitali & Haye? I think Vitali is a natural and that makes up for quite a bit. Vitali is still one hell of a physical specimen at his age and carries a weight advantage. I don't see it. Not yet anyhow. Haye? Well, Adamak does have "cheen" and I see him doing better than Ruiz which gives him a decent chance. I think Haye put on 'weight lifter' muscle. If I were Adamak's people I'd be doing back door negotiations with Haye hoping to scuttle the Wlad negotiations.
Definitely! He should go after Haye or Povetkin and if he'is successful go after 1 of the Klitschko (Vitali might be a "softer beating") for a big payday.
Adamek's friend agrees with you. I actually don't and think Wlad is a softer target than his brother, because he will be easier to defeat mentally if Adamek manages to throw him off his gameplan (i.e., get past his jab). As far as the names mentioned in the next article, I think Holyfield and Peter would be a big waste of time and definite steps backward on the progress scale. However, Haye, Champers, Thompson, Klit would all be great challenges to overcome. P'ovetkin should also be added to that list, but lately he's beein picking his opponents so gingerly, that i doubt his handlers would have the balls to put him in with Adamek, before his loooooooong awaited title fight.
........for now. We shall see. So far Adamek has shown he can adapt to his opponents skill level well (remember he was a huge underdog against Cunningham and a pretty sizeable underdog vs Arreola with the "experts", except for the Casinos).
thinking about it, the arreola fight should really be some kind of title eliminator. an unofficial one. he shouldn't have to do the same again, vs a similar opponent. adamek's ppl should hope that haye KOs wlad. then haye's stock goes way up, ppl aren't fixated on the klitschkos, TV has a natural crowd pleasing action fight to put on, and adamek has a realistic chance vs someone around his own size. haye v wlad are negotiating for september. HBO are OK with september.
