I loved it, protect yourself at all times. I remember when Floyd nailed Gatti when he was complaining to the ref.
:rofl My whole house, about 12 people at the little boxing :bbbparty, went silent except for my laughter and then the "protect yourself at all times" talk. Ortiz was getting away with dirty crap before the ref called him out so he deserved that KO:happy He was not winning any of the rounds and was just frustrated with Floyd so night night nagger :dead :smoke
I was shaking my head and chuckling as I watched it unfold. Vic had actually come back reasonably well after getting pasted in the third and wobbled in the early part of the fourth; and I couldn't believe that he'd allow himself to melt down like that. And after Floyd hit him the first time, more as a way of telling Vic to screw off and start fighting, Vic just stood there and looked at the official. The whole scene was pretty surreal.
Ortiz, with a tiny speck of hope, actually was fighting very good putting hectic pressure on tho not landing much, but had to screw things up. Just was disgusted with Ortiz, but more with Floyd, tho Ortiz deserved it. Cluster**** of a fight, right when Ortiz was looking competitive.
I let out a laugh that sounded like no noise I'd ever made before in my life. I was rolling on the ****ing floor for a while after the count. Really unexpected, hilarious, and well-deserved.
Watching that fight live, it somewhat reminded me of the knockdown that Floyd had against Gatti in the 1st round when Arturo decided to complain to the ref that he was hit in the back of the head, and than he got clipped. Protect yourself at all times is the name of the game. Even if Ortiz wasn't fighting a dirty fight, that punch was completely legal and it's Ortiz' fault for not keeping his hands up at all times. Him headbutting Floyd though and trying to make it a dirty fight made Floyd's KO shot even more justified and warranted. Turn about is fair play.
If you base the value of your PPV coin on strictly the main event, you deserve feeling ripped off. That was a solid undercard.
