116-112 ggg He outboxed canelo on the backfoot and hurt him really bad twice. The second fight was way clearer than the first. Ggg was robbed from his legacy by odlh and canelo
9-3 GGG... Watched it again yday shocked people think this was closer to a draw than the first. GGG looked far better than the first fight. Im starting to believe people think that coming forward wins you fights.. Erm no, it's primarily about landing clean effective punches. I was trying to give Canelo as many rounds as possible.. Judge were definitely influenced in some way, Canelo looked **** tbh, he landed a few decent shots though. 9-3 GGG... If I was being extra generous 8-4 GGG
Sooo many close rounds. What a great fight. I saw the first fight 8 - 4 to Golovkin, I think. Second one I saw pretty much the same but like I said, many close rounds. Could have it 8 - 4 Canelo and not call it robbery.
Canelo did exceptionally well in the second fight. He dictated the pace, stood right in front of GGG and went blow for blow with him. His defense, along with the cleaner punches, and clean counters took the fight 115-113 imo.
Disagree. Canelo landed probably the heavier punches in the first. In the second Golovkin landed shots that made me wonder how Alvarez was still standing.
116-112 Golovkin but I can see how Canelo gets the decision here, its a really close fight and a lot of rounds are a story of Golovkin dominating behind the jab whilst Canelo lands hard flush counters. So it really is a case of what you like. To add further intrigue, the jabber was the one moving forward pressing the action, the hard counter puncher was the one moving around the ring (although nowhere near as much as the first fight). For me personally, I prefer action so I am very much unashamedly a person of, if in doubt, score it to the one pressing the action. There's no magic formula when comparing jabs with power punches. So whilst I do think Golovkin won, I don't think it was a robbery.
Can't recall my scorecard had Canelo clearly winning though, so probably something like 7-5 or 8-4 to Canelo. Yes a lot of rounds were close but the deciding factor to me was ring generalship in a lot of close rounds. Canelo was able to stand and trade, even back GGG up, he kept the fight more in the centre of the ring instead of on the ropes 2nd time round. First fight was close and I could see going either way but I can't see how Golovkin won in the rematch unless you gave him every close round.
116-112 for Golovkin in both fights. Golovkin boxed Clenelo's ass off moving forward in the first fight and then boxed Clenelo's ass off going away in the second fight.
