I have to admit I had watched the match only once, but it is the same case with judges. It is extremely difficult to make equitable judgement, but I will try. Kovalev had won three rounds (7,8, 12) obviously (+ KD), but the other rounds were very close. If I have to make a honest decision it could be 116-111. What do you think ?
after 6 rounds it could have been 3 each or 4 /2 chilemba. kovalev wasnt doing a lot round 7 kd and 8 and 12 kovalev ,rounds 9 when kovalev looked gassed 10 and 11 to chilemba, kovalev round 12.just my opinion scorecards were a joke .could have been a draw in my opinion
The closest you can score the fight is 114-113 for Kovalev. There is no way Chilemba won more than 6 rounds. It was an 8-4/7-5 type fight with the knockdown. People are being jackasses and already having revisionist history with the fight only a day ago. Yes the 118-109 card was disgraceful, but at least it was scored for the rightful winner. The EXACT same thing would happen if GGG were fighting. Hell even Mayweather/Pacquiao get that treatment but their fanboys usually take over. We haven't seen Kovalev tested really so the fact there is a competitive fight makes some delusional idiots think he actually lost.
The fight wasn't really close Kovalev shoulda just been more patient, worked the body and jabbed more.
