Does anyone think one of the boxers won both fights or does everyone think both fighters split their fights?

I thought Spinks deserved to win the 1st fight he was more busy and outhustled Holmes who didn't use his right hand enough.

It was close but I thought Spinks just did enough.

The 2nd fight however I thought Holmes clearly won and it was a robbery.

Holmes was more aggressive in the 2nd fight and he bullied the smaller man and used his right hand alot more which stunned Spinks multiple times.

It's been awhile since I watched those fights but Spinks won the first one and Holmes should have won the second one.

I’m sure I’ve scored both of these but can’t find my cards:

Like everyone so far, I had Michael winning the first fight in a close but completely fair decision and Larry winning the second, not quite as close and a completely unfair (imo) decision against him.

I scored the first one for Holmes by 1 point. But I have no complaints about Michael winning. That fight could have gone either way. Holmes was working beyond a steady jab while Michael was throwing combinations (yet a lot of them were deflected by the arms of Holmes.

The 2md fights as a high way robbery. Holmes won that cleanly. It was competitive yet a clear win for Holmes. I scored for Homes by 3 points.

I didn't do a exact RBR but my feeling was 8-7 Spinks first fight and 9-6 Holmes in the 2nd.

Spinks definitely won both fights. He was too fast on his feet for Holmes. He got in did his damage and got out before Holmes could respond. Maybe the greatest LH champ of alltime.

I had Spinks winning both comfortably. Holmes just couldn’t sustain any offense. His lack of hunger was obvious in both fights.

Holmes did a little better in the second fight, but Spinks still outworked him. Even when Holmes hurt Spinks late in the fight Holmes didn’t capitalize. Even SRL was completely shocked that Holmes let that chance for a knockout slip away.

I'm with most people, Spinks deserved the first, Holmes deserved the second. I won't bother to rewatch them to score the fights.

This brings to mind Lewis-Holyfield. The first fight was perhaps the worst I have seen Has there very been a title fight where even the sanctioning body said it was wrong and ordered a second fight. Funning thing was, the second fight was just as bad. A draw would have fair, but if anything Holyfield by small UD, I say. This was definitely payback. Reverse the scores and it be much better.

Lewis pissed me off. In my opinion, he didn't make the most of his talent and ability. His victories should have been more dominant. He fought like he was half asleep in the second fight against Holyfield.

Sorry for going a little off topic.
