    atm i have it

    bute
    ward
    froch
    kessler
    stieglitz
    johnson
    dirrell
    andrade
    abraham
    bika

now that is now and noone is locked. i fully expect bute to drop to third unless he fights stieglitz next. froch and ward will be a solid top two if they win their next fights. and the winner of that will be a solid number 1.

I rank fighters based on how much they have achieved at their weight, and how many top level fighters they have beaten at that weight. It is clear that Froch has beaten more top fighters than Bute, thus deserves to be ranked higher. You mention H2H. One way of measuring a H2H match up between 2 fighters with no common opponents is to see how each fighter has fared against the best in their weight class. It is clear that Froch has the better 168 pound resume, and has faired better against top fighters than Bute has, so picking him in a H2H match up based on this is reasonable. Remember that Mayweather would likely beat Pacquiao, but because Pacquaio has achieved more than Mayweather, he is ranked higher.

Froch and Bute have one common opponent :yep Sergey Tatevosyan, Bute went 12 rounds with him then 2 months later Froch ko'ed him in 2rounds.

Better resume - agreed. But are you implying that Froch's performances vs Kessler, Taylor and Dirrell (all close fights to a certain extent - and I don't count Abraham because of his inactivity & reluctance to put up a good fight, don't count Pascal because of his immaturity at the time) are more deserving than Bute's spectacular stoppage of a then unstoppable guy and Bute's domination of Bika, Zuniga and Miranda? Zuniga and Miranda might have been inflated MW's, but so was Taylor and one could argue that AA had no business going up to SMW.

Bute and Froch will eventually meet up in the ring. Should make for a very interesting fight.

    Do you count anything? :yep

Remembre Froch was just as immature as Pascal was, this was his first step up to world level, he and Pascal were nearly equal, which made the fight so closely contested. Froch's win over Pascal is excellent, you can't discount it just because Jean went on to achieve bigger things, in fact, that makes the win all the better from Froch's perspective. Abraham was a hard puncher and a dangerous opponent, he had recently come off a DQ loss to Dirrell, a fighter who he had hurt and knocked down, and was close to getting out of there. Abraham was so bad, because he was facing a physically strong fighter who used his advantages to effect, and executed the perfect gameplan. There was nothing Abraham could have done, and that is why the win is so good.

Bika, Zuniga and Miranda are all b-level fighters. Froch has beaten a former undisputed middleweight champ, current light heavy champ, a former middleweight champ, and gone 12 hard rounds with a former Supermiddleweight champ. Their resume's are not comparable.

why not ? He went on to become Legit LHW champion, Vs this unstoppable guy that hasn't won anything the same guy that was outclassed by Kessler who didn't need a rematch against him, the same unstoppable guy that was robbed of a win because of a dodgy referee count :patsch e.g the reason Bute needed to rematch him.

No they're not, and Froch's is a class over Bute's. However I wouldn't say Froch has faired better against top fighters than Bute has ---- Froch has fought more of them top 10 SMW's and that's something to be reckoned with, but Bute didn't get the same opportunities. BTW, Pascal's gameplan vs Froch sucked donkey balls. :verysad

so Bute doesn`t get much credit 3 years for the win over Bika, and suddently Bika gives Ward problems and he clims to #5 spot?? There are good SMW out there, but they don`t get credit until the give problems to Ward. If AA will get the win over Ward the yanks over here will make him the SMW king ! ha ha
