Sure I stick him in the Hall. It is the Hall of FAME after all.

Good fighter, but a little short from great imo.

Not great but I think he should probably be in the HOF. Its like Arturro Gatti, he wasnt great, but he provided some of the most exciting fights in boxing and the same could be said for Corrales.

He can get place in HOF - BUT only if George Foreman III does too IMO.

solid wins over very good comp argueably the only man to beat casmayor convincingly before joels slide. no reason no to. great story. alot of fighters now have him as a idol. i want to be like gatti or corrales.

also a guy of his size for the division who chose to slug it out and finish to the end is also comendable.

    no reaosn not to.

In a special wing on early deaths yes. But as a straight inductee, no.

I have no issue with him being in the Hall so long as they put in the other 150 odd fighters on his level still missing from the Hall.

He was very good, but not HOF worthy. When he faced other good fighters it was usually 50/50 that he would win. He had good power, but not a great chin.

Id say he had a good chin. He took a lot of heavy shots and had poor defense. Remember he started his career at 130 pounds. He took a shellacking from Mayweather.

Convincingly? He never actually beat Casamayor they just gave him a big gift in the 2nd fight.

He was a very big at 130 and even 135 and yes he chose to slug it out but he also had a nasty habit of spitting the mouth piece and getting 30 second breaks when hurt badly...
