His win over Sahaprom caused a complete rethink on the Thai's part.

I always like watching Konadu. Capitulated a bit in the 2nd Moon fight though. The first is a classic of super fly.

I remember I was reading some interview (I think) with Nacho Beristain when he said something about Roman as one of the most skilled fighters ever, etc.....
Well, then I find a fight to watch how good Roman was......And during the fight I was like "WTF this Konadu is an awesome fighter !"

Today I wouldn´t call Konadu an awesome fighter....And I think is fair to say that Roman was past prime in that fight (on the other hand Konadu was a bit too green yet IMO).....but even so, that performance is great and remains as one of my favorite fights ever.....

damn good fighter that should have been involved more. That near half-decade stint in Spain fighting journeymen and the occasional fringe contender has to go down as one of the most wasteful runs of the modern era.

He basically let the bulk of his prime pass him by.

As a fighter, he had a top-notch combo of strong fundamentals and basic tools, combined with excellent power.Really dangerous on the front foot, especially effective if allowed to settle into a groove or build forward momentum up.He'd just keep coming forward firing out a high volume of formidable jabs and rights behind the full high-guard.Enough bounce and footwork to take little educated half-steps and control distance well while still pressuring as well.

A good fighter to get into if you are a fan of Quartey.

The Moon fights showed he was nowhere near as comfortable if you could push him back and take the play away from him.All in all a fighter who i'd expect to do better against the stylists and more technical patient boxer-punchers than the awkward aggressive bangers or highly skilled pressure fighters.

He was past his best and hit the wall in the fight with tapia imo.I wouldn't judge him on that one.Not that he wasn't still dangerous in there though, and Tapia was really good that night, fighting one of his most disciplined bouts.
