    So you know without a shadow of a doubt what was in the "black bottle" for the Pryor/Arguello fight?

    Please enlighten us.

    Unless some startling revelation comes to light any discussion of the Pryor-Arguello fight will forever include accusations of cheating.

    The speculation is even growing because so much more has been learned about Panama Lewis. This documentary put forth additional accusations about plastering wraps, suspicious actions by the commission, contents of the water bottle, and more fights that involved some of these illegal activities.

    One other thing that the documentary exposed is the vague nature of the bylaws of the NY athletic commission. The courts ruled that the bylaws were so vague that they couldn't accept the Collins lawsuit against the governing body. Chalk one up for the promoters there.

    Panama is a crooked man. He told Resto that he would help him when he "got his"... Horrible to see Panama wearing all that jewelry and Resto been down all those years with nothing but a drug habit. Resto knew they had tampered with the gloves, its partially his fault too though.

    The real story in this documentary is the indictment against organized boxing in particular boxing in the state of New York.

    The very fact that someone could get away with glove tampering that easily and coupled with the fact that the inspection of the gloves was a total farce you'd have to say that the Collins/Resto fight could be just the tip of an iceberg.

    The real question becomes how many other times did Panama Lewis get away with stuff and how many other Panama Lewis's were there?

    Theophylline, structurally, is actually very similar to caffeine and works in a manner very similar to caffeine as well. In fact, caffeine was used to tread atshmatics before Theophylline. If Lewis did put that in the water, he is an idiot. Look at some of the side effects;

    What was in the bottle is completly irrelevant. At the time that the Arguello fight took place there was only one legal substance that could be in a fighters bottle, water. Doesn't matter if it was drugs or if it was grape kool-aid, if it wasn't plain h20 it was illegal.

    In my opinion the absolute worst part of the whole Aguello/Pryor mess is that 75% of todays boxing fans only know Arguello from a fight he lost, and the winner may have cheated. It's a ****ing travesty!

    Alexis Aguello was a champion among champions, a warrior among warriors, and a man among men. The thought that Panama Lewis may have cost him his rightful place in histroy by cheating makes me want to puke!

    I've been saying for months here that Pryor is a POS cheater who ruined a great fighter, and imho any fighter who worked with Panama Lewis is suspect. If there's ANYONE who would have cheated in every fight he's ever been involved with, it's that sick ****.

    FAIL. They weren't allowed to have anything except water. They could have been using Alka Seltzer and it would have been illegal. :patsch

    I realize that idiot. All I am saying is NOBODY knows 100% what was in the ****ing bottle except Panama Lewis himself. I believe it was schnapps and probably something else and I am well aware it is illegal. Unless Lewis comes forward we will never know. That is the ONLY point I am making here.
