great acting by clottey, bought him some breathing time when momentum was shifting to cotto esp. trapping him in the corner... the ref did a great job, it seem like clottey didnt want to continue, but credit to him and the ref for telling to be a champ and to shake it off...

Just saw a replay of the "alleged" foul. When he turned his back, they showed the wide angle of Cotto hitting him, he actually punched him more right behind his right ear or near the area.

Clottey acted like a Str8 ***** for acting like that. It was obvious he was faking.

i think clottey tweaked his knee pretty good when he was tossed, but the last round i feel he was trying to get a point deduction. may have been better served by throwing punches instead of making pained faces.

i remeber when he hurt his knee and mercante told him to "walk it off kid" "be a champ" or something like that . that was pretty awesome. toughest sport

The back of the head punch was more like side of the head around the ear area. Cotto was not trying to hit the back of the head. Clotteys head is so huge that he tried to reach around and get face but it just could not get around that astrodome.

one thing to note about the back of the head punch. Clottey was illegally holding cotto's left arm, and he turned his back as well

I really wanted to see Cotto win this fight, but this fight reminded me of Delahoya vs. Sturm. If Delahoya wins, a Fight with Bernard would be next. I felt that there was a lot of bias from the HBO crew except Emanual Steward. I think a fight with Pac would be more likely to happen with a Cotto win. I have been a big boxing fan for over 20 years and I have seen some bad decisions and this was one . I do feel Cotto would have done better in this fight if he didn't suffer the bad cut over his eye. The fight could have been stopped. This did give Clottey an unfair advantage in my opinion. Clottey was over acting trying to get the point deduction in the 12 th. , but he clearly out boxed Cotto throughout this fight. Clottey would be a handful for anyone in the 147 division.
