I always enjoyed watching his fights. A real crowd pleasing style and I'm glad he gave a good account of himself against Pacquaio. What did you think of him personally.

Was the third best Diaz in Lightweight at his era (time), barely top 10 and a paper champion.

Julio of course (the one who boxed under his real nationality Mexican, as the only one).

By the way for the last decade in Lightweight isn't David in the top 20.

He was of course, as "Baby Bull" was unified champion and Casamayor was the actual WBC champion before he got stripped, just as lineal champion. David Diaz only got this title against interims-title-holder Santa Cruz, when he was far behind on points. He just got a narrow decision vs. over the hill Morales (which could have gone either way). He was never elite and the weakest major title-holder cherry-picked by Pacquaio, where he didn't have any chance.
