Your thoughts on Froch's post-fight press-conference statements

I don't think Kessler is getting enough credit for those rights to the body. He couldn't miss with that punch for long portions of the fight.

 

Saying the Notts thing is stupid tho, it makes britain out to be the sort of place robberies can and will take place.

Glen Johnson will be using this as evidence of bullsh*t infront of the senate committee on his loss against Clinton Woods lol.

 

Yep, slowed Froch down and allowed Kessler to pick up some later rounds when Froch is normaly strong. Those straight rights to Froch's left side won him the fight.

 

Delusion fools the ego which makes a fighter. It is that simple. Honesty is refreshing and shocking.

Froch's needs to think like that so he can continue to compete with almost a blind belief in his stature in the sport.

I would much prefer he accepted he was inferior technically and improved. Unfortunately boxers talk alot about this and that but never genuinely look at the one major thing behind winning and losing - the sweet science.

Kessler spouted the same verbal after losing to Ward. He talked about improving here and there but in fact he looks like the same Kessler and should he fight his victors again he would lose because he hasn't changed.

This is why fighters like Pac should be respected because he has come on leaps and bounds. Had he not improved technically he would not be where he is. He'd probably be a notch below Morales and Marquez.

 

They were awesome shots, for a while i thought maybe the injury Frochy was going on about was possibly a broken rib, and Kessler had inside info, but now it just seems like it was a solid shot and he was catching Froch clean everytime he threw it.

Rarely do i see a right hand to the body do so much damage, cos carl was wincing each time it landed, and it did make him think twice about attacking. Usually its the left hook to the liver that does most the damage.

 

They found a home early and really worried me because body shots slow you down. Froch did get tired but I was fearing worse. Without those body shots, Froch would have been much fresher.

kessler won the fight clearly regardless of where it was held,he was & is the better fighter.

froch is a clown,i guarantee you its only gonna get worse from him over the next week.....

 

TBH, I can understand why he's kicking himself. Had he pressed the fight a bit more when he had the momentum, I really think he could have won in style. Instead, Froch looked way too pensive before throwing and, ultimately, the fact that he allowed Kessler to stay active cost him. Having seen how they stack up to each other now, I do think Froch would win a rematch, though. He should be praising Kessler a bit more rather than blaming the judges for rounds he should have nailed down for himself, but plenty of fighters have blamed judges and home advantage in the past for losses so it's not a new thing.

Same here. For me, Schmike's best moment was when he demanded that Kessler congratulate Froch and his missus. Kessler was cornered as he would have looked a nob had he not went along with it. He managed to squeeze out something like 'uh, OK, congrats' whilst looking like he was cringing inside. Schmikes owned that microphone!

 

He owned it alright. If Schmikey tells you to do something you do it fighter or no, he's fookin huge, his hands must be like..... well massive hands.

 

I wonder what Froch is feeling deep down about Calzaghe?

I mean he just lost to the man who was beaten by the man he has been stalking.

He wasn't even beaten by the same man! The Kessler that lost to Calzaghe performed clearly better than the Kessler that beat Froch.

I think the reaction of Kesslers promotion team shows full well they knew thay had got the decision ... im not saying Kessler didnt deserve it as i had him 2 rounds up but I feel money and politics talk in this Super 6 and for the good of the tournament and the promoters pension funds it best if Kesslers gets any close decision !.... if it was in Nottingham it probably could have been carls fight similar to Dirrell .. but i did have Carl up in that fight ! .... i may be being a bit of a sceptic but cmon boxing is big money business !
