Your thoughts on Froch's post-fight press-conference statements

I'm pretty glad I didn't watch it now if that stupid ***** of a man Schmeichel was on it. TWAT

 

I haven't seen the fight yet, but have read the reports and listened to the likes of Bunce, McCrory and Woodhall giving their 2 cents. Saying it was a bad night at the office, his eardrum affected his balance, bad performance, hometown judges etc.

It's all bollox I reckon, what none of them had the balls to say is that Kessler is simply the better fighter and the natural result is that he beats Froch on points. I like Froch but he's lucky his '0' hadn't gone before the weekend, and he simply isn't as good as Kessler.

 

Its a completely meaningless comparison...all the A beats B bull**** is precisely that, bull****. On saturday Froch didn't push the fight, if he had done I suspect that we would be lauding a Froch victory now, and I strongly believe that if there was a rematch Carl Froch would win and probably in some style.

I think most teams would have had that reaction because they genuinely thought they'd won. Most teams go mental at the end of a fight if they think they've won, some even go mental when they've clearly lost.

 

Froch got beaten, that's clearly not up for debate...:yep

It's time to see what Froch can do post defeat, he will either draw strength from it or never be the same again...:yep

Froch has been quite fortunate and I think his style of fighting is not made for longevity, he does not possess amazing technical skills for a fighter operating at the Championship level, he relies to much on getting his big guns off IMO...:yep

I thought Carl's comments on Saturday night about how he would have been given that fight in England were regretable to be honest.

 

Achilles, I think you're being a little unfair about Kessler - he has changed his game. He's still got the same strengths, seems to have slowed down and his reflexes aren't as sharp (which i think is partly a confidence thing and fighting pish opposition after the loss to Calzaghe). What is different is that he was throwing to the body more, occasionally using right leads, left hooks and moving his head to slip punches.

Be fair, Montoya's only had him for one fight, so you can't expect it to be a well-oiled machine just yet, but I thought his performance against Carl was really good. Plus, Carl awkwardness played a part in Kessler's measured approach too.

 

Lack of class shown by Froch but can't say I'm that suprised by it. Didn't hear him mention hometown decisions in his fight with Dirrell. Compare his behaviour now to Kessler's behaviour post fight against Calzaghe.

Kessler is a better fighter and an even better human being, that goes a long way for me.
