This fight has all the ingredients for a great event; history between the fighters, drama, feud, immense power and skill. This is a very unique fight in a way that in professional boxing we almost never get to see two top prospects fight each other in the early stages of their careers. For those who don't know; Dillian Whyte is one of the very few boxers who ever beat Joshua (in the amateurs). As such it's a big mental challenge for Joshua. Beating someone you've lost before is never an easy task. So far Joshua's been beating journeymen or past it no-hopers - this is the first time he's actually fighting someone serious. I'm looking forward to this fight. It will be on 12/12/15 in London.

What are your thoughts? Can Whyte pull off an upset?

Based on their last fights Joshua should win this within 3 rounds.

I don't understand how you draw that conclusion.

i watched the fight on youtube...i think that was AJ first fight if not he was very much so still a novice where as whyte was more experienced...i dont think it is an indication for december

AJ has developed physically since then and seems to have better punching technique than he did before

i have been to a DW fight before and i saw him sparring in Brixton one day
in his live fight i thought he was pretty good against a bar room brawler but was hitting the guy with flush shots and moved ok but he was not exceptional
in sparring, i didnt find him impressive at all that day. he was sluggish and has a heavy foot

i think AJ is faster than DW now so i will give the edge to AJ

both guys have been beating bums

^^what he said! I see DW succumbing to AJs bombs not too dissimilar to the bums AJ has been dispatching! It might take a few rounds...but still it probably will be over inside 3 rounds. When I watch them both now...I see AJ looking polished and very dangerous. I see a lot less polish on DWs technique...look at how much he took last week in his last fight. If AJ does that to him he will be out of there real quick! AJ inside 3...but will be great if he can take AJ further and even make it competitive. Just don't see it though...

I don't rate Whyte as a top prospect. He needs to have an iron chin to make this interesting so he could last long enough to test Joshua.

White will come out slinging, he'll be buying a lottery ticket with every punch he throws and hoping to hit the jackpot.

That's the only chance he has.

Joshua will finish him inside 4 rounds

I think Whyte is very dangerous to Joshua, nothing to lose and we know he has the punch and won't be intimidated. I also think Banks is a real plus for him.

well i def think it will be more than 3 rounds if DW holds both hands high. dw last fight vs minto was a size mismatch where he dw didnt respect minto at all

also it appears that DW has the reach advantage

where AJ can win the fight would be to get DW fighting backwards.

AJ has better foot work and will control the ebb and flow that way

Does he? His reach is not listed anywhere.

if you watch the fight on you tube dw arms look much longer

as george foreman said on an hbo forecast with shane mosely vs shannon taylor

forget the measurement, watch who is winning the jab battle

I don't think that's the case. In that video DW is the aggressor most of the time that's why he appears to reach AJ more than the other way around, not specifically because he has a longer reach.

Whyte was getting caught with silly shots against Minto. I really don't think many men if any can just stand taking stupid shots like that from Anthony Joshua.

    ok let me rephrase

AJ in the pros doesnt pop his jab
dylan pops and extends his jab

bc of their fighting style dylan has a reach advantage even if their arms are same lenght

    feel free to disagree
