Exactly this! Why is this fight being hyped? Whyte looks like a domestic fighter while Joshua is clearly world-level. To be honest, Whyte is looking like another overhyped fighter, similar to David Price. I don't see the talent equating to the hype.
The reason this fight is being hyped, at least by me, is that Joshua isn't about to fight someone of his size/skill anytime soon. The psychological aspect of this fight is what makes it interesting. Coupled with the fact that Whyte is a decent fighter makes this the biggest test Joshua will go through in the pro ranks so far. If he gets passed this in a dominating fashion, I think he's good to go against Wilder or Wlad/Fury winner in 2016.
Wow. How on earth is walking through Whyte proof that he's qualified for a Wlad fight? He needs a few more steps up, he's going at a good pace now but he needs to be dragged into later rounds and rocked a bit (or at least face people you should expect would be able to do that to a contender) before a title shot. Some fights against the s****s Wilder is leaving behind would be interesting. Eric Molina would be a good test
I just don't see the point. If he never fights Whyte, I'm very much okay with that. Whyte isn't a world-beater, and in my opinion, he looks less talented than Wilder, and that's not a compliment as Wilder is a KO victim waiting to happen.
This is kind of fight I applaud. Fighters who risk their 0s early in their careers. I have seen little of Whyte. In fact only his last fight with Minto. So it could be misleading but it seems to me that Whyte showed some obvious flaws against a fighter like Minto. He seems kind of soft without the drugs. Based on that I think that Joshua should take this one.
Yeah, but Joshua is the only one with a lot to lose. This will most likely be the biggest fight in Whyte's career. I think he's going to become a journeyman-type; although, with the heavyweight division's lack of talent, possibly a gatekeeper. Oh, I'm also not trying to sound like I'm a huge hater. I just seriously don't see a lot in Whyte.
I can´t understand why they are sacrificing Whyte so early. He is still novice and could make some money as a contender and European level. Besides, Joshua has very few domestic rivalries and after Whyte there are only Fury-brothers. They are both quite young so they could have make this three years from now and it would probably be much bigger financially. Whyte is too flat footed at the moment to win this one. So I have to go with Joshua KO5. Whyte will be ruined (unfortunately).
I think Whyte will start fast and it'll be the first test of Joshua's chin. I still see Joshua knocking him out.
Hearns said the undercard will be big. Ramirez vs Bellew might be on the undercard. If they can get one more big fight in the undercard this will be a huge event in the O2.
Whyte looks like he heavily abused roids in the past... Why does he look like such ****? He looks like a more toned version of CURRENT Razor Ruddock. He has an old mans midsection.
Dunno about Whyte but Joshua's body doesn't look like it can be achieved merely by lifting weights. The last time I've seen such a robotic/out of a sci-fi movie kinda thing was Holyfield and he was a heavy PED abuser. If there are no peds involved he must be a genetic freak. http://soulmatefood.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/boxing3.jpg
Damn, he looks like he's made out of plastic like an action figure. Wow, beyond crazy his body. I think he's a genetic freak, but at the same time, I'm not naïve enough to think the top fighters aren't all roiding.
