Your thoughts on Margarito-Cotto 2

Margarito will beat his ass worse this time, i can't believe Cotto wants thisatsch again?? Margo is to big , strong, and tougher mentally, and physically, Cotto looked like he was ready to quit after the 8th round, and why is there even a rematch??? Margo scored a true KO no controversy, or bad decision, id rather see Margo face Paul Williams again..

 

Thats the difference between Cotto and Margie.

Margie is literally running from a rematch with Paul Williams.
He doesn't want it....Margie was exposed in a previous thread today.

In fact Margie even takes credit from Williams by saying he lost because he was daydreaming...he got off to a real slow start.

Cotto wants this rematch like nobody's business....trust me on this
I know first hand.

If you put your money on Margie based on the first fight....
I just hope its not your mortgage payment.

 

Tell that to Williams....There is interest in the fight and it is also a money fight for both. I know what you mean though.

 

who knows how its gonna turn out but one thing for sure it will still be a great fight.

 

props to Margo for taking the tougher fight with Williams:deal he took the harder fight he already KO'D Cotto, nothing left to prove with him..

 

If i were Cotto, i would hire Bernard Hopkins to teach him the science of lateral movement. Watch the Pavlik fight. Unbelievable. Hopkins could definitely help Cotto out in that department.

Margie fought Williams and LOST way before he fought Cotto.

The Cotto fight came about because...Margie was running around
complaining that he was the best in the world and the most feared
fighter in history that no one would fight.

Cotto gave him a shot last year and Margie backed out and fought Williams.....hence, Cotto had to fight Judah.
Cotto still gave him another shot....he fears no man....

What Margie has to prove is that he can beat Mosley and then prove
that he can beat a well focused Cotto that has resolved his differences
with his Uncle ( trainer Evangelista ).

Please put your mortgage on Margie...see what happens.

 

You make a good point because Cotto wasted a lot of energy with excessive lateral movement.

I am no fan of Hopkins, but you have to acknowledge his ring generalmanship.

 

not really. i really like shane and would of been glad if the fight actually did take place, but cotto did beat him. margo only really needs to fight the bonafide fighters in their primes if he wants to leave a legacy as a great. and who are the best ww's in their primes? pw and cotto of course. if margo beat shane, it would be a dangerous fight, but margo wouldn't get much credit for the haters will say shane is shot or past his prime, which is true, but the fact is that he's still a very good fighter. that he HAS to fight shane i don't think so. he has unfinished business with pw and cotto

 

Obviously I am very biased towards Cotto and am convinced he will prevail.
However, when I hear points like the one you make...it makes me think
twice and leaves me uneasy...yet still excited to see the fight.

That is what makes this fight so interesting.
