I'm glad modernists can now see what they look like to me, when they claim Louis would lose to Tua.

Edit: In fairness, claiming Firpo would beat Lewis, is probably closer to claiming Louis would lose to Charles Martin.

 

I miss a certain poster questioning the veracity if Burt's whole story... A Burt Denier, if you will. Talk about the Golden Era. Those were the days that this board was truly entertaining!

 

"Would" is a hard word to toss around at that level, especially at heavyweight.

But what happens if you replace Galento with a prime Tua?

"Could" suddenly becomes an interesting discussion.

 

A "Burther"?

Never doubted his story, though some of his specific memories seemed like they had been (quite understandably) distorted by the passage of time. I hope he's well.

 

If I remember correctly, he called Burt a lying ****ant, and claimed he wasn't really a senior citizen… but a young punk, who was trolling us all. Crazy stuff!
