Your thoughts on these 40's heavyweights...

    Hi all,

    I was just wondering if you guys have any thoughts on any of the following heavyweights from the 1940's:

    Turkey Thompson
    Pat Valentino
    Buddy Knox
    Junior Munsell

    Any opinion's, info etc. would be appreciated :good

    Thompson to me was the best of the group. Turkey was short, aggressive, could hit, and was down a bit more than you think. Never saw him on flim. Not sure if there is any.

    Oh Thompson easily, previous poster spot on about him, big hitter with the usual suspect whiskers. Don't know much about the others except Valentino looks surprisingly good on film v's Charles.

    Thompson has a case for being the best puncher of the era, apart from the Bomber himself.
