I try to avoid the classic forum though. Mostly because I know next to nothing about the old fighters aside from the ATGs. I just watched that fight, and Louis is a bad mother****er- no doubt about that, but that Baer guy looks like a bum to me. Why wasn't he keeing range? Why let Louis get inside so easily? Why didn't he bother moving at all? Why not throw more punches? He came across as a sort of smaller Valuev there, or Shannon Briggs. See why I don't post here? You guys hate opinions like that and it will go down like a fart in a space suit if I say I think Max Baer would be no more than a contender at any point from the 70s forward (including now). That's why I avoid the classic
Swarmer, i cant help noticing how you talk ebonics to lounge and general posters, but here on classic you talk like Thomas Lancaster Dubois so im gunna call you Swarmer-Dubois, the white black man
What you mean, bro? Ali is one of my favourite fighters and boxing personalities, but Joe Frazier is my no.1 because he's the epitome of ****ing badass. His style is better to watch too.
I love Frazier too, maybe even as much as you do. That kind of precludes me loving Ali. I admire Ali, I rank him top 10 p4p all time, #1 lock at HW, but I can't love him because I love Frazier. He called Frazier a gorilla, a ******, a white man's ****** and they fought the most intense rivalry in modern HW history. To me, it's like you are a Frazier man or you're an Ali man. No different to Celtic-Rangers, Scotland-England, whatever...but there are a few guys on here actually who see it this way, they love them both. I was just wondering about how it works for you. I don't hate Ali, but I could never love him, and to me the overall sense of who a fighter was is almost as important as his in-ring style in terms of how much I love him as a boxer.

I don't have any rigid top 3 favourites. But lately I've been enjoying watching Sonny Liston, Larry Holmes and Max Baer again.
Seeing as how i'm neither black nor white the tom label doesn't apply to me you silly mong. You was poppin that good **** a second ago....
Marciano... Louis... Dempsey... Joe Frazier...(that's right...you only wanted 3...I was always lousy at math)...
