You said that Hearns was your favorite fighter, but why did Hearns got knocked out by Hagler become your favourite fight? You like to watch your favourite fighter getting knocked out?

    Nice.

Feroz beat Ike legit, close but clear.

Round 5 vs. Trinidad is one of the finest pocket clinics I've ever seen (even as precocious as he was, he needed more experience before messing with a ruinous puncher like Tito, but that round really offers a glimpse of what he could have done if he hadn't collided with him so early on in his career).

Had the Winky bout a draw.

Love the Campas and Marquez performances, too, if we're talking the unspoiled, young Vargas.

I was about to post something very similar !
Sibson’s 2nd rnd stoppage of unbeaten, highly rated John Collins was also very impressive.
The Anderson victory gave him the Lonsdale belt I believe.

No Cooper or Dokes? Or have you just got good memories of these ones?

    His following fights:
    1. Jeff Fenech 2
    2. Pat Cowdell
    3 Mario “Azabache” Martinez 2

Close also were his fights with the greats Salvador Sanchez and Wilfredo Gomez.

I was a bit torn between those 2 fights Bellers. I went for the Anderson fight because he produced a vintage performance that night. Probably his last one.
The Collins fight still makes my pulse race a bit.

Yesh, I liked your picks mate.
Tszyu- Judah ( so funny watching ' the swiss cheese man, Judahs words) take out this clown. The sad,sad faces of Steve Albert and Bobby Czyz post fight and of course the Zab meltdown.
Tszyu-Sharmba Mitchell 2 ( showtime hyped this guy so much in between his first fight with Kostya and the rematch, he had a big mouth too, bagged Tszyu a lot. I never thought he was in Kostyas league and very happy when Tszyu smashed him to pieces.
Tszyu-Miguel Angel Gonzalez ( Gonzalez, terrific fighter, Tszyu showed just how good he could be).
Fenech-Nelson 1 ( love/hate relationship for me with this fight, great fight to watch, loved the 2/3 rounds early, where the two fighters didn't move from the one corner and just traded on the ropes, at th e time though I was very angered by the judges call andI it really was the beginning of the end for Fenech.
Fenech-Payakaroon, (Samart had a big rep at the time, not many fights but rated highly, Fenech aswell was pretty green for a champion. Fenech destroyed him.
Fenech- Tyrone Downs (Fenech was cut bad, called as a punch by the ref. Serious worries that the ref might stop the fight. Fenech went hard at Downs and took him out quick. Fenech was really dirty that fight too, in particular).
Barry Michael- Lester Ellis ( my Dad was a big Barry Michael fan, so as a kid I too became one. Pretty much just seeing my Dad in disbelief that Michael had finally got a major belt, somehow! It was a great fight.
Barry Michael - Frank Ropis ( again, watching the fight with my dad, the fight played out exactly as he said it would, good scrap too!)
Barry Michael - Mark Fernandez ( Fernandez totally dissed the aussie anthem, Michael gave him an earful centre ring when they touched gloves, then gave the kid a lesson in the ring).
Jeff Harding - Dennis Andries 1, 2 and 3 ( Harding a bloody mess, stops Andries late, next two are split 1-1 and are wars).
So these are fights that really stick in my memory and these aussie fighters were my fav as a kid and growing up.
