What I find funny is that a lot of people rank hagler above hopkins, yet when someone makes a thread who ransk higher hopkins or hagler b-hop will come out on top.
Including Ali - 1. Roberto Duran 2. Muhammad Ali 3. Ray Leonard 4. Pernell Whitaker 5. Manny Pacquiao 6. Carlos Monzon 7. Roy Jones Jnr 8. Marvin Hagler 9. Julio Cesar Chavez 10. Floyd Mayweather That's off the top of my head, so I might have missed out someone.
Could someone justify Pernell Whitaker over Sugar Ray Leonard? I think Ring Magazine had him over Leonard?
1. Roberto Duran 2. Roy Jones Jr. 3. Julio Cesar Chavez 4. Marvin Hagler 5. Mike Tyson 6. Wifredo Gomez 7. Manny Pacquiao 8. Ricardo Lopez 9. ODLH 10. Floyd Mayweather Jr
Monzon is a top 15 boxer all time, let alone top 10 since Ali. He's unquestionably ahead of everybody else in the bunch not named Duran, Leonard, Hagler, Hearns (and as you see, I find him better than most of them). Here's a bunch, in order: Ali Duran Monzon Leonard Hagler Hearns Whitaker Mayweather Griffith Pacquiao Foreman Jones Hopkins Chavez
Monzon retired before Ali. He should not be included then if we're ranking boxers since Ali (but including Ali). I agree however that he is top 15.
Howard Winstone Happy Lora Gavin Rees Ayub Kalule Alberto Davila Chucho Castillo Pat Barrett Gerry Cooney Murray Sutherland Mike Tyson
1. Ali 2. Duran 3. Hagler 4. Leonard 5. Whitaker 6. Arguello 7. Hearns 8. Monzon 9. Spinks 10.Chavez Top of my head, would probably keep editing it. I dont include current fighters.
Based more on peak talent than longevity.... 1) Duran 2) Leonard 3) Whitaker 4) Ali 5) Chavez 6) Pacquaio 7) Mayweather 8) Hagler 9) Jones 10) Monzon
