Leonard had no problem getting down and dirty and "fighting" it out. Hagler and Leonard were, for the most part, boxer-punchers. Leonard was just flashier and had quicker feet/legs so he could use the ring more if need be, although Hagler was good in those areas too.

Youre wrong. Its the socio-economic times that produce great fighters! Not necessarily genetics(but they do play a small role). IN the 20's and 30's it was the irish. They were poor, and resorted to boxing as a way out. Then it was the Italians. Then for 60's-2000 It was mainly blacks.(HW atleast) Because they were poor. THere are great white heavy weights. Jack Dempsey, and Marciano. Dempsey was poor, and resorted o boxing. Not so sure about marciano though. And now, its mexicans mostly. Because of their economical situation. Also, asia is having an economical situation of its own. Now great fighers are coming in like pac. But genetics do play a role in boxing. Blacks are generally the fastest. But whites are usually stronger.
